QUIZ RECAP

1. Spoiler Alert: Gazpacho continues their winning streak for 6 (?) weeks in a row thanks to a successful double down in round 1.

We Try was close and was in first after Round 2, but dropped to 2nd place in the 3rd round where they stayed until the end of the game.

3rd place was a toss up most of the game between M&M's, America's Ass (Best name of the night if you get the joke), and GTL. M&M's ending up clinching the title by just 1 point in the end.

Gazpacho also won the drinking round. In keeping with our "game show games" we played "The Price is Right!" I had 6 objects and the teams had to match the price to the object. It was a 4 way tie, so then I brought out a grocery store receipt, read off the ingredients and teams had to guess how much I paid. All went over (because I got a STEAL on my groceries. I mean, pork shoulder was on sale for .99/lb!), but Gazpacho was the closest to the price.

We'll see if I can adapt any more classic game shows for the drinking round next week at Pineapple Hill!

QUIZ RECAP

We had such a fun game on Wednesday night. There were plenty of teams and players, the energy was good, just all around fun. Not to mention the game was close for most of the time.

No one doubled rounds 1-4. Gazpacho ended up taking the lead in round 4 with guessing on the 10 pt clue. Then they pulled fully ahead into first with the only double in round 5.

Ketchup knows their music and Pringle flavors and had two successful doubles in round 6 and 7, tying them with Gazpacho.

With the tie breaker, Gazpacho guessed closer and clinched the win, with Ketchup coming in 2nd. New team The Brothel had a tremendous first time playing by taking 3rd place.

In keeping with our "classic tv game show" drinking rounds, this week we did "Name that Tune!" where I played 10 songs and people had to name them. Ketchup ended up winning that round.

I'm looking forward to next week for more trivia fun!

QUIZ RECAP

More Popcorn? took down the reigning champs on Wednesday night!

No one doubled round one, but More Popcorn? doubled in Round 2 and stayed in the lead the rest of the game. Gazpacho suffered a devestating missed double in round 1, but still came back enough to be competitive (just 2 points away from placing).

Two-person team My Sister's Ex Boyfriend impressively held their own against their competitors, consistently in 2nd place.

GTL ended up in 3rd place (the joke is that they're ALWAYS in 3rd place) after a solid game.

For the drinking round, we continued with our "classic tv game show" series of games. Last week was Family Feud, this week - The Matching Game! Two people played per team - one person went outside while I read the questions to the other teammate and they wrote down their answer. Then I read the questions to the outside teammate who had to guess how they're teammate would answer. Gazpacho, GTL and More Popcorn? all got 1 answer correct. Because of the tie, we had to do a Rock-Paper-Scissors off and GTL won!

I have no idea what classic game we'll play next week, but I know it will be fun and I'm looking forward to it!
