9/8 Central had a perfect game up until round 6.
We Try was close behind and Gazpacho was solidly in 3rd the whole game.

First off, lemme give a big SHOUT OUT to the team that bought me a tequila shot after I joked about wanting one in Round 5 (the question was about tequila and limes). They stayed anonymous, but THANKS for the drink!
But down to business...almost all the teams started off strong with successful doubles in Round 1.
9/8 Central pulled ahead in first place with the only successful double in round 2.
In Round 3, all teams are clearly not Twihards and were stumped by a Twilight question.
In Round 4, Gazpacho started gaining on 9/8 Central by guessing the "Who Am I" in 10 points.
Round 5 was a BRUTAL round, with three unsuccessful doubles, keeping everyone in the 30 points except for 9/8 Central who successfully doubled, catapulting them to over a 20 point lead.
Gazpacho knows history because they correctly guess not only the year India gained its independence, but also got closest in the year King Henry VII died. They won a round of drinks!
In Round 7 GTL took a risk and doubled successfully, putting them in 2nd place. Gazpacho took 3rd and, no surprise, 9/8 Central ended up in 1st.

Packed house this Wednesday at Pineapple Hill! Lots of people played, only a few walked away in glory.
More Popcorn, O Trivia Newton John, and RSMs all started the evening off strong with doubles.
RSMs was in the lead for most of the night until round 5 when Gazpacho, More Popcorn and 9/8 Central doubled, catapulting them all tied for 1st.
Then Gazpacho solidified the lead with a double in Round 6, putting them ahead of the pack.
Our teams clearly need to brush up on their royal history (Queen Elizabeth I was NOT around after 1714, people!) as round 7 was rough for almost everyone.
For the drinking round, we played a game of 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon. I asked how many degrees away Patrick Stewart and Vivien Leigh were from Kevin Bacon. Then for fun I asked how far away I was from Kevin Bacon (2 degrees apparently). 9/8 Central won the drinking round.
In the end, Gazpacho secured the first place win with 9/8 Central in 2nd. More Popcorn won the tiebreaker over RSMs to take 3rd place.
