Wednesday's game was one exciting game, with the lead team changing almost every round. Everyone was kept on their toes because there wasn't a clear winner the whole time.
No one doubled the first three rounds, so the spread was only 7 points between first and last after round three. Still anyone's game!
Round 4 put Gazpacho in the lead when they guessed it on 8 points.
But then, seemingly out of nowhere, The Free Solo Crustaceans were the only team to double round 5, putting them in the lead.
But THEN, in Round 6 More Popcorn? was the only team to double, which put them in the lead.
BUT THEN, in Round 7 Hip Hops was the only team to double (they know their hockey apparently) bringing them from 5th to tying for first place.
The tie breaker for first place was between More Popcorn? and Hip Hops. Hip Hops won with guessing the correct number EXACTLY. Crazy!
For the drinking round, each team picked an animal-celebrity hybrid pun and created a picture based on the words. The Free Solo Crustaceans won with their "Mick Jaguar". Check out the artwork in the pictures!

There was a good number of competitive teams on Wednesday!
Gazpacho and Kim Jong doubled in the first round but a double in round 5 put Gary's Old Towne Tavern in the lead (btw just rewatched a beloved sitcom that shall not be named and finally understood their team name!).
They held the lead til the end with Gazpacho just behind. After some ups and downs, and an unsuccessful last round double, Kim Jong still ended up in 3rd place!
It was a fun night and I can't wait for a rematch next week!

We had a packed house on Wednesday!
There were no doubles the first 2 rounds, but 9/8 Central, Sports Ball deficient (who had last years tournament winner on the team), Gazpacho and Butter Emails all doubles round 3 putting them just a few points apart from each other.
unfortunately, Butter Emails had an unsuccessful double in Round 5 which took them out of placement. Gazpacho, Sports Ball Deficient, and GTL all doubles successfully. This move helped propel GTL into 3rd place where they stayed the rest of the game.
Round 6 saw doubles by 5 teams, including the top 2.
The game finished with Gazpacho in first leading by 13 points, with Sports Ball Deficient in 2nd and GTL in 3rd.
