GTL took home their first win ever tonight! Usually getting 3rd place, they beat the other teams to come out victorious. They were the only team to successfully double Round 5, which is what propelled them to the top.
Gazpacho started out strong with a double in the first round, but fell behind with an unsuccessful double in round 5.
9/8 Central steadily climbed up the ranks with a double in Round 3, to take 3rd.
I had familial support this night because my cousin played the game on the team Fear's Pole in the Living Room.
For the drinking round, we played a quick round of Texas Hold 'Em which Just the 2 of Us won.

Welcome back to the Pineapple Hill, where if you try hard enough, you can still smell last night's bloodshed.
T'was a smaller and more intimate battle, but all the more competitive for it. Seven teams, one prize*, no survivors. More or less.
(*Disclaimer: Actually three prizes.)
Scores remained consistently neck in neck for the first three rounds, with team 9/8 Central eking their way to an early lead. However, things took a sharp left turn for our intrepid young time zone in Round Four, when a well placed double down brought fellow regulars Gazpacho full throttle into first place with a twenty point bonus.
Going down swinging, Gazpacho and 9/8 Central went blow for blow for the remainder of the game, but in a stunning display of are-you-serious-right-now, our Spanish soup slingers took the match with a single point, winning the whole thing 59 to 58.
Just goes to show you: turn in that pen.

It was a close game on Wednesday.
In Round 1 there were 4 teams tied for 1st place. Round 2 and 3 proved difficult for most teams, and none of them doubled.
Round 4 started changing the game up - there were 3 teams that got the Who Am I on 10 points. Butter Emails, up near the top in points, sadly guess the wrong answer and dropped down to last place.
9/8 Central and Gazpacho had the first successful doubles of the night in round 5, catapulting them to the head of the pack.
We Try and GTL were tied for 3rd place, but ultimately We Try won the tiebreaking question.
9/8 Central took first place just barely ahead of Gazpacho.
