The science of fun and fine dining is artfully executed daily at The Lab Gastropub. Conveniently located on Figueroa Blvd., The Lab is next door to the Galen Center, across the street from USC and an easy walk to the Shrine Auditorium, the Los Angeles Coliseum and the museums at Expo Park. Our menu features a variety of pub favorites and an extensive selection of beers. The communal style seating encourages group fun. You’ll always find local sports as well as national events featured on the multiple screens throughout the restaurant. The Classroom, our private dining room, is ideal for social events and the outdoor patio is a great place to enjoy the SoCal sunshine.

"Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time." - Marthe Troly-Curtin Wednesdays, we play trivia and I wore pink! The Lab is always a joyous time spent well with wonderful people. One surprise captured my attention the most within the night, one team joined super late in the game and ended up beating two teams. Now that's what I call using your time wisely, because they felt they had wasted most of their game time since they joined later than everyone else. However, I explained that trivia is literally anyone's game as long as your willing to take your time and think your answers through. Time is definitely of the essence at the Lab and spending it surrounded by people who are happy, loving and caring definitely makes my life fulfilled and always keeps me looking forward to the next week. Wednesday's always bring a new experience and the time is always well spent never wasted.

Hello, on Wednesday's we play TRIVIA. Moving into the second week at The Lab, the teams are getting bigger, the team names are getting more creative, the laughs are getting louder, and the smiles are getting so bright I think were creating sun at night! The Lab is clearly the only place to be on a Wednesday night and if you aren't there you just clearly aren't living right. I believe one of the funniest team names of the night had to be the young and the restless leg, my mom actually watches that show faithfully which is why I found that not only creative but seriously a knee slapper! The energy radiating through the room is literally an experience and memory I never want to miss. The Lab is just a phenomenal place to be and makes Wednesday the whip cream on top of a thick, heart healthy, milkshake. Haha, not sure if those actually go together when describing milkshakes but that's just the powerful effect The Lab has on me and I'm sure all the participants as well. Can't wait to see what next Wednesday has in store for us all continue to be beautiful!

Despite all my papers being dropped in the rain and falling into a deep puddle stream (realistically a flood that swept them away), I kept my head held high. As Future stated, "One monkey don't stop no show. Never have." And indeed my show went on just as beautiful and marvelous beyond my own expectations or beliefs. Last night was the first spectacular night at the lab and let's just say it came in with a bang. The entire night we had tons of "Oooouuu's and Ahhhhh's" when the answers and scores we announced. Not only does that type of love from participants melt my heart, but due to the rainy predicament I was in last night it truly made me feel appreciated! The teams were all super vibrant, and there's an ironic story to kick off the first night ever. The first place winning team came up to me after the game and stated that they just stumbled across the venue on the first night it ever had trivia. And one of the phenomenal members of the group shared that she's a trivia leader within her own program at USC. Really ?!? What are the odds? I was in awe, it's literally the craziest things in life like happening to walk into a place and actually win first place with no original expectations of actually doing so. Congrats to everyone who played last night in my eyes were all winners especially for pushing through in the rain. Oh, in addition to all the excitement we even had a tie breaker! How much more exciting can a game become? What a night, can't wait to see all your beautiful faces next Wednesday and remember watch out for those dangerous pretzels because they can cause you to choke. HAHAHA, continue to live your best lives!
