The science of fun and fine dining is artfully executed daily at The Lab Gastropub. Conveniently located on Figueroa Blvd., The Lab is next door to the Galen Center, across the street from USC and an easy walk to the Shrine Auditorium, the Los Angeles Coliseum and the museums at Expo Park. Our menu features a variety of pub favorites and an extensive selection of beers. The communal style seating encourages group fun. You’ll always find local sports as well as national events featured on the multiple screens throughout the restaurant. The Classroom, our private dining room, is ideal for social events and the outdoor patio is a great place to enjoy the SoCal sunshine.

It was a chilly California night at the rain had just stopped falling, but did that stop our Trivia Teams over at the Lab? Hell no! We continued to have a blast in the December weather and rang in the holidays with some good ol' competitive trivia. Tonight we had our veteran teams Badass, Gummy Cubs, and Gummy bears facing off against many a newcomer to the labs doors. It was honestly a tough set of questions this wednesday, but as always, three teams prevailed. Team Gummy Bears took home third place as a devastating team of one, very impressive! Gummy Cubs took second place with 66 points. And team Badass, with a huge lead at 83 points took home the first place prize! Congratulations my teams out there and I hope to see you all next week at 7pm for King Trivia at the Lab!

Wow, the Lab was Fired Up this Wednesday. We had a bunch of new teams show up and join our Senior Corp group in a night of ultra competitive trivia! And that is a beautiful thing if I ever saw one. Hungry Hungry Hippos joined E hunnies, Civil Disobedience and the Proud Cobra Team against veteran Badass, Gummy Bears, and Quiz in my Pants for a great night. It was tied up pretty closely, but Team Badass finally brought it in for a break when they doubled down in round 3 and took the lead. They held it all the way through to round 7 for the first place prize. Gummy Bears and Quiz both played a solid game, taking home the second and third place prizes respectively. I always have to shout out the Lab staff for their amazing Service and for making the night possible. My joy and appreciation for this week go out to team Cobras for being a hilarious team and for doing their very best each day. I hope to see all my teams in two weeks for King Trivia at the Lab at 7pm. Next week is Thanksgiving and so the window for trivia will be closed. See everyone in 2 weeks!

The teams were huge, the competition immense, and the laughs the loudest of all. From misspelled answers costing teams the first place to internal team strife, This Wednesday had it all. It was a close game through and through all the way to the end between all 5 teams. Even brand new teams Lagoon and Spencer showed up with bold trivia skills to take on Gummy Bears, Badass, and Quiz in my Pants. Ultimately though, the final round proved the most devastating. Badass and Quiz in my Pants both swooped into the lead with a legendary round 7 double down. Badass took the first place prize at 70 points with team Lagoon taking second at 62 points, and team Quiz in my Pants taking 3rd, redeeming themselves after a simple mistake cost them double points in round 2. As always it was a pleasure to be your Quiz Master this Wednesday and I hope to see all my teams next Wednesday at 7pm!
