It was another HUGE night for us at Great Change, and it looks like we might have to start sharing tables for the smaller teams. When I walked in, the teams were already starting to get worked up for the game. Like a pack of hungry lions, they feasted upon the questions, devouring the answers as they were doled out at the ends of the rounds. New friends were made, prizes were won, and the beer flowed like wine. No kids were in the house, so we got to use the unfiltered names of those teams that have less than family friendly names.
When it all came down, Thee Downtowners roared into first place with a double worth 20 points in round 5 and another 10 in round 6. They ended their night with 55 and took home a $25 gift card. Team Stark landed in second place with 51 and pushed their prize money down to the next places. Both ending at 43 and tied for third, Mamba Mentality and Threat Level Midnight went to the tiebreaker to settle their differences. It appears that Mamba Mentality has a pornographic memory, coming closest to the target of how many issues of non-frontal nudity Playboy were published before going back to classic centerfolds. Their answer was 6, while Threat Level Midnight answered 3 to come in a little behind. Giggity. $15 and $10 gift cards were awarded accordingly.
Come out next week, and don't forget to join us on Tuesdays at 7 for Survey Slam and another chance to have more fun and possibly win beer money!
I love you all. -- Dave

It was a PACKED house tonight! We had so many people, teams decided to share tables with people who weren't even there to play. And, guess what! Some of those people played along. With all the tables and the couches filled, the bar was the last place to sit. Hell, we quizzed so hard that I my mic broke and I had to yell out the final round and standings. Thank God I had plenty of good beer to ease my aching throat after that.
Lots of teams were so close at the beginning, but some successful and unsuccessful doubles shook up the game, allowing the pack t separate. When the buzzer sounded, we had a two-way tie for second place, having to go the tiebreaker. 1 Little D and 2 BBCs landed in first with 51 for the night. Lightning Dogs and It's In The Fu(&!ng Syllabus both ended with 45; Lightning Dogs took the tiebreaker as my voice took a beating without the aid of my microphone.
Come check out Survey Slam on Tuesdays! Still at Great Change, still at 7. It's another night where you can win "cash and/or prizes"!* 1st-$25 gift card, 2nd-$15 gift card, and 3rd-$10 gift card.
Two nights of fun, great beer, and possible prize money are available, with Thursdays being our Trivia night. Double up on the Dave time!
Love you always. -- Dave
* - OK, it's really "and/or prizes", not cash. But, the prizes are gift cards to Great Change, so that's just like cash in the form of delicious beer.

Tonight was a close call amongst contestants! Points were flying left and right. Some found victory with the activation of a Double or Nothing and some were hurt by the zero points awarded.
Threat Level Midnight definitely started strong at the beginning and were able to overcome a low scoring round three to get third, tying the DJ score of fifty-five.
Spiders from Mars shot ahead after round six with their musical knowledge and go a strong position in second place.
And the top dogs themselves, Dungeons & Flagons flying to the top with a score of eighty-one, taking first place. A total of four Double or Nothing activations.
Go trivia battlers, show you stuff!
