What a great night with a lot of great people! I messed up in Grand fashion by printing off the wrong night's questions, but we managed to with that out pretty well. Once we got back on track, there were doubles, lead changes, first-time victories, long lost teams returning, sword fighting & fencing, beer, and newlyweds!
At the end of the night, our hosts earned their first victory with 60 points, pushing their winnings down to the next spot. First, second, and third prizes went to the second, third, and fourth place teams respectively. The Quizzards made their triumphant return, missing out on first by a single point with 59, but they still got a $25 gift card. Threat Level Midnight proved that they're always on task, getting 54 points for third place and a $15 gift card. First timers Ninety Six Five came in fourth with 51 points and got a $10 gift card for their efforts.
Remember that we're dark next week because of Thanksgiving.
Also, Great Change is collecting gifts for Toys For Tots until 12/11, so help make a difference in a kid's Christmas this year by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy the next time you come in.
Don't forget that we start Survey Slam on Thursday 12/3, and we'll be back with Trivia on 12/5. If you need that Trivia fix next week, come out to The Well on Wednesday at 8, and you can find your favorite Quizmaster in a sparkly coat with the smooth voice and dashing looks. I think that's just enough bull to sell it!
New people keep finding their way into Great Change on Tuesdays only to be forced to play trivia. Man, I just don't take NO for an answer, except during trivia. With 8 teams, we saw lead changes, joy, and misery as we imbibed during our quest for fun and knowledge. How many perfect rounds saw a missed opportunity to successfully double down?
When the night ended, Dungeons & Flagons once again sat atop the throne, earning first place and a $20 gift card for their 60 point game. Team Stark turned in a score of 52 to take second place, yielding their trophy to the next team on the list. Soccer Babes took third place with 48, and an extra $5. Zombie Tsunami reaped the rewards of having our hosts land in the top 3, getting a $10 gift card to go along with 4th place.
Please, please, PLEASE remember that Great Change will be accepting donations for Toys For Tots until 12/11. If you would like to make a difference in a child's Christmas this year, bring a new, unwrapped toy (or more, there's no limit on generosity except financially) to the bar, and they will be turned over to the Marines for deployment into their new assignments with their new children.

Man, you all were working double-time tonight! Almost right after I finished asking the questions, teams were rushing up with answers in hand. Everything moved so quickly that we got done about twenty minutes earlier than normal. As always, we all had a good time, especially seeing a successful double with zero points on the Moon list; if you know you're getting zero, go for broke and double down! Hell, I might even quadruple that zero if I'm in a good mood.
When the dust settled, Lightning Dogs led the pack with 52, Dungeons & Flagons took second with 46, and Threat Level Midnight came in third with 44. Fifty dollars in gift cards were awarded, and the beer flowed like wine.
