- PUB QUIZ—Tuesdays @ 8:00pm
It was a big night for competition at Marco Polo Bar & Grill - between the NBA Finals, the Copa America Semifinals, and King Trivia, the cheers could be heard down the block. (All for King Trivia, of course!)
Regulars Scratch and Sniff 2.0 took a commanding lead, with Bringing Up the Rear living up to their name in both second and last place. A third team, Lisa is Leaving, gave us a sneak preview of their strategy with that team name, forfeiting that juicy last-place prize.
Who will win next week? It's anyone's guess. Stop by Marco Polo and find out!

Temperatures in Seattle are heating up, and this Tuesday's trivia night at Marco Polo Bar and Grill was no exception.
Two rival teams - newcomers Let's Get it Crew and trusty regulars Kids Don't Float - went head to head, with each one taking the lead at different points in the game.
Ultimately, Kids Don't Float sunk to second place after second guessing their superior knowledge of *NSync members and women of the US Supreme Court. They put up a perfect round...but so did Let's Get it Crew, whose choice to double-or-nothing in that same round handed them the win. Gotta love when a tie game comes down to the last round.
(Dis)honorable mention goes out to our last place team, Vaxxed not Waxxed, who found themselves at a slight disadvantage as a 2-person team. You know what they say: two heads are better than one, but 4-6 heads are better than two. That's the saying, right?
Despite the lively competition, the night's highlight came after our last round wrapped up and our first, second, and last place prizes were distributed, as yours truly finally succumbed to Marco Polo's famous broasted chicken. Oh la la.
Trivia is every Tuesday at 8pm, so come on over to Marco Polo with your thinking cap -- and your eating pants. Seriously, you don't want to miss that chicken!

What a warm welcome back! After a week away from the trivia grind, this Quizmaster was thrilled to get back into the swing of things with some frosty beverages, some real head-scratchers, three-and-a-half* delightful teams, and some bad Quizmaster humor.
One thing is for sure -- these players sure knew their Emilys, as each team made a mad dash for first place identifying famous Emilys and Emmas. They didn't fare quite as well on the Katys -- not a single team could name all nine of Katy Perry's #1 singles. (And who can blame them? Hot and Cold was honestly robbed).
We ended the night with a first-place finish by regulars Kids Can't Float, a strong showing by runners-up Facts Machine, and a respectable third place turned defacto loss by The Fancy New Shuffleboard Table, as It's Us had to make an early exit and forfeited their hard-won last-place prize.
Oh, and we capped it off with an impromptu Katy Perry singalong. Did I mention it was a good time?
