A quaint night at the Dudes' with friends, family, and of course, Trivia.

A handful of newcomers to Trivia nights came to challenge the regulars for the chance to win Beer, Beer, and also....BEER!

Round 1 had a lazy start, with teams resting on their laurels and feeling quite confident in themselves - but all is not as it seems in trivia, and there were no successful double-downs, despite attempts.

Round Two brought some fairly expectant success, but a misplaced Grover Cleveland threw more than a few teams off, and although more than one attempted, there was only one successful DD, for the most part, the teams were well-founded in self assurance.

The third round didn't leave too many teams crying like babys (in perfect theme), but round 4 was a bit of a pickle as many teams were unversed in the finer points of a particular Enterprise Helmsman's biography.

The fifth round was a headscratcher for many, and only 2 teams would arrive at the theme that connected all the answers, in fact, many teams were so bewildered that while they scored on every question they wrote down, the average point total was only five points. Distinguished, however by the round 5 points resulting in a 4 way tie!

Round 6 remained conservative, but a mathy reminder from the quizmaster lit a fire underneath those teams neck-and-neck, and a few well-placed eleventh-hour double-downs resulted in a spectacular finish.

Tough night of trivia at The Dudes tonight, but that doesn't mean there wasn't some intrigue. Boner, Thugs, & Harmony jumped out to a handy lead in round 2, with a perfect double.

This is Us gained momentum, passing BTH with a double in round 5. Both teams struggled through 6 & 7, but stood pat to the end.

Flying Solo struggled through the first 3 rounds, but played a steady game from then on, passing Somewhere in the Middle in round 6 and edging them out for 3rd place at the end.

Everyone had rough going throughout the game, but a couple of crucial doubles made the difference, and steady play by Solo rounded out the top three.

Nine teams ushered forth to have a decisive battle of wits.

Things started off small, with conservative plays all around, even in round 2, teams played it safe, but Round 3, Flying Solo and Somewhere in the middle, dissatisfied with small potatoes, solidified their rivalry with succesful double-downs.

In round 4, we were dazzled with a healthy performance from every team, but would it be enough to narrow the field? As the leaders began to pull away, fate was sealed in round 6, Flying Solo double-downed, sailing ahead of the pack, and relaxing into Round 7 with a confident win, although trailed not far behind by Somewhere in the Middle, and a modest third from Paul Blart and the Mall Cops.
