The sun was shining, even though the evening was trying to make an appearance, the night was held back, by the sweltering sunset.

10 teams met for some fun, beer, and pizza, but only 3 could win.

Neck and neck did "Somewhere in the Middle" and "Boner Thugz n' Harmony" chase each other through the rounds, doubling down and scoring high, trading the lead each round like POGs on the schoolyard. Remember POGs?

Well, even if you don't, The game can only ever end one way, and tonight, it was with "Boner Thugz" in the lead, followed by "Somewhere" and a sneak attack by "Fake News" from the shadows for third.

Hot days need cold beer, and there was plenty of it at the Dude's! 17 teams came together to trade laughs, tears, and barbs as they worked their way eagerly through the trivia trenches on the way to glory.

Starting off slowly for most, every team gained momentum in round 2, packing in the points. Round 3 made sure everyone double-checked their kits as leaders began to pull forward and away from the casual cicerones enjoying the libations.

Paul Rudd escaped people's memory for the first time ever, as over half the teams answered incorrectly or waited for the bitter end. Round 5 gave some teams a chance to redeem themselves, but with the end in sight double-downs began to fly like mosquitoes on a summer eve: everywhere, and often dying, never to fulfill their destiny. Some of those double-downs, however launched teams that had been lurking in obscurity into podium contention, most notably "Evil Dancing Pandas" who shimmied their way suddenly into 3rd place, garnering a Four-Pack of brewskis for their efforts.

This started out as a three-horse race from the jump, with We Drink & We Know Things, Pharrell & Elphaba, and Somewhere in the Middle pulling the only successful double-or-nothing in round 2, and being separated by only 1 point. Amazingly, all 10 teams successfully doubled round 3, then the game settled into a gruelling journey to the end. Smartinis & Guys wow'd the crowd with the only successful 10-pointer on round 4. Somewhere took the lead after round 4, but, Drink and Pharrell retook it and remained tied through rounds 5 & 6. Not to be denied, Wrong Trousers quietly came from the middle of the pack and into the picture after round 5, and overtook Somewhere on round 7 to edge out 3rd place by a nose. Pharrell stayed steady, and with Drink faltering slightly on the home stretch (round 7), took 1st place. Drink finished unchallenged in 2nd place. Congrats to Pharrell & Elphaba with a body-length win. Well done!
