QUIZ RECAP
It was another busy night at JJ Pfister Distilling Company and the hot weather guaranteed me a lot of company indoors (except for a couple of teams that braved the heat on the patio). Our teams were grilled on questions that ranged from movie sequels to the Twilight series (thank you King Trivia for making me relive that part of my youth). Up until our fifth round, we had a back and forth between a number of teams, but in round five returning team The Faculty and newcomers Rye on a Rock both pulled off a double or nothing that broke them out of the pack. However, a follow up double or nothing during our sixth round put Rye on a Rock firmly in the first place position. It all came down to our list round, which asked our teams about the most popular water brands in the world.
In the end, Rye on a Rock were able to hold onto their first place spot while The Faculty (who allowed me to pay the dog tax with a pic of their dog Winter) took second place. Team O’Donnell won the mystery bag of the night and let me uncover the mystery with them. Come around on Thursdays at 6:30 for some trivia fun and delicious cocktails!

QUIZ RECAP
It was another busy trivia night at JJ Pfister Distilling Company and our teams were raring to go. Rounds tonight ranged from famous movie dogs to all things Oz (from the Wizard of Oz to the HBO series Oz to St Louis Cardinals player Ozzie Smith). Last week’s winners, Team Chad, got off to a strong start with a successful double or nothing in our first two rounds, but were overtaken by team Sherlock Homies during the sixth round with their own successful double or nothing. It all came down to our final round, which quizzed our intrepid teams on a topic that I am almost completely ignorant on: cryptocurrency (sounds like some fly by night BS if you ask me).
In the end, team Sherlock Homies took first place (a big step up from their previous second to last place spot) and won four tickets to the Best in Sac party (a value of $65 per ticket) while The Educators took second place. Team Birthday Girl in Grey won the elusive second to last place mystery bag and didn’t mind me hovering over their table to uncover the mystery. It was a busy night again at JJ Pfister Distillery and we had a house full of eager minds looking to test their trivia might. I was happy to see a mix of both returning and new faces in the crowd tonight. Our teams were grilled on topics that ranged from Giants (from Barry Bonds to Andre the Giant) to Taco Bell. We got off to a strong start with a successful double or nothings from multiple teams. However, team Watsons and Beans started to break out of the pack with a successful double or nothing in round two. However, teams Team Chad, The Faculty, and Beyonce Knowalls (who, luckily, did not miss a Beyonce question in the first round). It was a nail biter going into our final round, which asked our teams about John Grisham’s novels and the first amendment.
When the dust settled, returning Team Chad took top spot of the night, winning four tickets to the upcoming Best of Sacramento party (a value of $65 per ticket) while The Firm took second place.
