QUIZ RECAP

We were blessed with a mercifully cool evening for trivia after the oppressive heat of the past few days.  Our intrepid teams were quizzed on a variety of topics that ranged from the seven deadly sins to superheroines.  A golf question also lead to me musing (whether the teams wanted me to or not) whether or not golf is actually a sport or more of an activity.  From the start, this game was a back-and-forth battle for teams The Faculty and Guess Which One’s Adopted and things took an interesting turn when, in the penultimate round, the two teams found themselves in a tie for first place (I’m messy and I live for the drama so I loved it).  After our final round, which asked our teams about the seven deadly sins and Hindu gods, team The Faculty won after Guess Which One’s Adopted took a big swing and a miss for the double or nothing (like Icarus they flew too close to the sun and burned their wings).

Team The Faculty took the coveted top spot of the night and Guess Which One’s Adopted took second place, but both took home gift vouchers for JJ Pfister.  Team Rotary received the mystery bag (and I’m still kicking myself for not finding out what was in it).

QUIZ RECAP

It was busy night at JJ Pfister Distillery and we had a room full of eager minds looking to test their trivia might while downing delicious cocktails.  Our teams were grilled on topics that ranged from Grover Cleveland to an entire Matt Damon-themed round.  Team A.K.A Squared got off to an early lead in our second round with a successful double or nothing and managed to hang onto that lead until the sixth round when team Here for the Sausage demonstrated their expertise in all things Matt Damon with their own successful double or nothing, leading to a tie for first place going into a nail-biter of a final round, which asked our teams about the artists behind the greatest selling albums of all time (I was shocked to see Hootie and the Blowfish on the list).  In the end, it came out to a one point victory by team Here for the Sausage.

Teams Here for the Sausage and A.K.A Squared both walked away with gift vouchers for JJ Pfister!  Come around on Thursdays at 6:30 to see if you have the sheer iron will it takes to claim the trivia crown for yourself!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a great night for trivia and a lot of our teams took advantage of the beautiful weather by enjoying JJ Pfister’s patio seating.  Teams were grilled on questions that ranged from sandwich restaurant chains (which begets the whole debate as to whether burgers and hot dogs are sandwiches) and famous mountain ranges (during which I had to confess that I spent much of my life believing that the Matterhorn was called the Smatterhorn due to a very long running joke by my mother).  Team Monkey Potato (who had their dog and team namesake with them) got off to an early head start after a successful double or nothing in round two.  However, multiple teams were hot on their heels.  Teams Going Cobra Commando, Hopes and Dreams, and Defectors were all still players and proved dominant in the latter half of the game.  Going Cobra Commando launched into first place after dominating rounds five through seven.

Team Going Cobra Commando claimed the top spot of the night, with Hopes and Dreams taking second place.  Team Monkey Potato won the award for cutest team mascot of the night.  I hope to see everyone around next week!
