QUIZ RECAP
It was a packed house at JJ Pfister Distilling Company with a patio and dining room filled with eager minds looking to test their trivia might. Rounds tonight ranged from breakfast cereals (one of my favorite topics of all time) to British royalty. Returning team Freeze, You’re Under Duress (who changes their name weekly) got off to a very strong start with back-to-back double or nothings. Things started to pick up in round five for teams Is There a Midwife in the House?, Lavish Display of Ignorance, and Team Yellow Hat (who didn’t wear the yellow hat after which the team is named) after their own successful double or nothing. By the final round, scores had tightened up considerably, but Freeze, You’re Under Duress was still in the top spot by six points. Round seven quizzed our teams on the “best” songs by Elton John (according to a Rolling Stone readers’ poll, anyway).
In the end, team Freeze, You’re Under Duress was able to hold onto their lead and claim the coveted first place spot for the second week in a row. Team Is There a Midwife in the House? took second place while team CLC Queens took the mystery bag home. Come around on Thursdays at 6:30 for your chance to claim the trivia crown of the week!

It was a fun night of trivia at JJ Pfister Distillery, with all of the teams opting to provide my company indoors (the more the merrier!). I was happy to see a mix of new and returning faces among our teams tonight! Questions tonight ranged from football movies to famed movie composer John Williams. Our teams started off fairly evenly in the first round, but team We’ll Keep Trying started to break out from the pack in round two with a successful double or nothing. Other teams gave them chase throughout the game, including The Walking Brain Dead, The Me Team, and Bruh. Team Shawn managed to stage a comeback in our penultimate round, launching into second place.
In the end, We’ll Keep Trying managed to hold onto their first place spot while Team Shawn took second place. Team Hanging With My Gnomies! took the second to last place spot and won some JJ Pfister swag! Come around on Thursdays at 6:30 for cocktails, food, and trivia!

It was great to be back at JJ Pfister after a week off. The weather finally seems to be cooling down and our teams took advantage of that tonight by sitting out on JJ Pfister’s patio. Topics tonight ranged from famous Bills and Teds to celebrities from Mexico. Teams The Devil Loves Choco Tacos, Existence is Pain, Jerry!, and Team Chad all got off to a strong start, each with a successful double or nothing in the first round. The three teams remained tied until The Devil Loves Choco Tacos started to break out from the pack in round three. They continued to build on that lead throughout the game with multiple teams giving them chase. By the time we got to our last round, it was a battle for the second place prize.
After answering a question about the countries that border the Danube River, team The Devil Loves Choco Tacos took the top stop of the night while team Existence is Pain, Jerry! took second place. Returning team Defectors took home the coveted second to last place prize. Come join us on Tuesdays for delicious food, refreshing cocktails, and (most importantly, in my humble opinion) trivia!
