QUIZ RECAP
It was a busy St Patrick’s Day evening at JJ Pfister Distillery and our teams were ready for a couple of the great St Patrick’s Day rituals – drinking and trivia (okay, I might have made up the second one). There was a vein St Patrick’s Day and Ireland throughout our game tonight – from Irish-sounding celebrities to an all Ireland-themed round. Team Pumpkin Thing (who I tragically never asked about the origins of their team name) got off to a strong start in round one and managed to hold onto a slim lead throughout – but teams The Merrymints, Team Chad, and Far and Away were hot on their tails all night. Going into our final round, it was still potentially anyone’s game. Teams were tested on their knowledge of the most popular brands of whiskey, bourbon, and scotch. When the dust settled, The Merrymints and Team Chad were tied for first place. After a tie-breaker round, which tested their knowledge of the population of Ireland in 1911, The Merrymints came closer.

QUIZ RECAP
It was great to be back at JJ Pfister Distilling Company on this unseasonably warm March evening. In a repeat of last week, we had some incredibly evenly matched teams. Questions ranged from our favorite masked characters to College Bowl games (major respect to our teams in this category since I’m useless in the area of sports). Everything was neck and neck until round six when team Funco played a successful double or nothing, launching them into a comfortable first place and leaving the rest of our teams to duke it out for second place.
Teams Funco and Drunken Puppers walked away with gift certificates for JJ Pfister. Come around on Thursdays at 6:30 for delicious food, tasty drinks, and the chance to claim the trivia crown of the week!

QUIZ RECAP
It was our biggest night of the year (so far) at JJ Pfister and we had some of the most evenly matched teams I’ve ever seen. I was happy to see a number of friendly returning faces in the crowd tonight! Team Forest managed to carve out a small lead for themselves early on in the night, but several teams were hot on their heals throughout. Questions ranged from a fruit-themed round to TV end credits (kudos to our one team that figured out the end credits to the early nineties classic Where in the World is Carmen San Diego). Going into our final round, there were seven teams within five points of each other so it was a real nail-biter. Our last round tested the geography buffs in the crowd tonight with a question about the UN member states with the letter “Z” in their name. It came out to a tiebreaker round between teams Forest and Cobra Kai. Team Forest ultimately clinched the win, coming closer to determining the global market value of hummus (of all things).
Teams Forest (who introduced me to the team name inspiration, one of the cutest babies in history) and Cobra Kai both walked away with gift vouchers for JJ Pfister! Come around on Thursdays at 6:30 to eat, drink, and be merry!
