QUIZ RECAP

It was great to be back at JJ Pfister after a week off and we had a full house of eager minds looking to test their trivia might.  Our topics ranged from a famous doctor themed round (can I take this opportunity to express my love for CNN’s Dr Sanjay Gupta) to a find the connection round all about US Vice Presidents.  Team Yacht Girl Summer (which sounds like a lot more fun than a white boy summer) got off to an early head start with a successful double or nothing in round one, but multiple teams were hot on their heels as they held onto the first five rounds.  However, in round six, returning Team Chad shot into a narrow lead after a successful double or nothing in round six.  It all came down to our final round, which asked our teams about famous thespians that have won exactly three Academy Awards and the names of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In the end, Team Chad took the coveted top spot of the night and Yacht Girl Summer took second place.  Team That Walrus took the mystery bag tonight.  Come around next Thursday at 6:30 for delicious cocktails, food and (most importantly, in my opinion) trivia!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a beautiful night for trivia at JJ Pfister Distillery and most of our teams took advantage of the lovely evening by dining out on the patio.  I was happy to see both a mix of returning and new teams.  Our teams were grilled on topics that ranged from SNL's most recent main cast members to music artists’ logos (everybody remembered Prince’s symbol-only phase).  Our teams were evening matched throughout the night, with multiple teams seeing the first place spot throughout the game.  However, teams The Faculty and The Defectors both pulled ahead in the third round after a successful double or nothing.

After the dust settled, returning team The Faculty (who, apparently, have team t-shirts that I demand to see on their next visit) took the first place spot of the night.  The Defectors took the second place spot, while team Nissan claimed the mystery box.  There’s no trivia next Thursday so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in two weeks!

QUIZ RECAP

We were blessed with a mercifully cool evening for trivia after the oppressive heat of the past few days.  Our intrepid teams were quizzed on a variety of topics that ranged from the seven deadly sins to superheroines.  A golf question also lead to me musing (whether the teams wanted me to or not) whether or not golf is actually a sport or more of an activity.  From the start, this game was a back-and-forth battle for teams The Faculty and Guess Which One’s Adopted and things took an interesting turn when, in the penultimate round, the two teams found themselves in a tie for first place (I’m messy and I live for the drama so I loved it).  After our final round, which asked our teams about the seven deadly sins and Hindu gods, team The Faculty won after Guess Which One’s Adopted took a big swing and a miss for the double or nothing (like Icarus they flew too close to the sun and burned their wings).

Team The Faculty took the coveted top spot of the night and Guess Which One’s Adopted took second place, but both took home gift vouchers for JJ Pfister.  Team Rotary received the mystery bag (and I’m still kicking myself for not finding out what was in it).
