Once you walk through our door, you’re with friends. Locally owned and family operated, Mudrock’s Tap and Tavern brings the best of life’s simple pleasures together so you can relax, relate and share good times with us.

From breakfast biscuits to delicious burgers, wings and everything in between, we use fresh, natural ingredients and source from neighbors whenever possible. We’re constantly tapping and trying beer and most likely, have your favorites on one of our 30 taps. And yes, the game is always on one of 32 HD screens equipped with every major sports package.

The Mudrock name encapsulates the affinity we have for sports and our town’s community spirit and history. Local Louisville hard-working coal miners and their families loved playing baseball during summer when it was too hot to mine and, being far from pro teams, formed their own clubs. One player, Phil Mudrock, made it to the majors and signed as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in 1963. According to the Lousiville Times, he signed his contract right here behind the Miners Field backstop.

Not too bad. And as we like it, not too fancy. Just right.

A great crowd tonight at Mudrocks, with a lot of newcomers! #momjeans jumped out of the gate and into the lead with a successful double-or-nothing in Round 1, and were high scorers in Round 2 as well with 8 of a possible 8. Jetstars and first-timers Devil's Quesadillas were a little too eager to try for a double, and in fact took a zero in 3 different rounds despite playing well otherwise. Newcomers The Tots Must Flow and Catastraphe were high scorers in the Guess Who round, foreshadowing the night's results. Beer Battered and Catastraphe each scored 10 of a possible 10 in Round 5....but The Tots Must Flow leapfrogged everyone with a 20-point double-or-nothing to take a lead they would not relinquish; when #momjeans took a zero on a failed double in Round 6, they opened the door for Catastraphe to move into 2nd place, where they finished. Thanks to first-timers The Donna's, Bet The Farm and Pretty Possums for being here tonight. See y'all next week!

Great turnout tonight at Mudrocks! Tuesday Night Club hit a successful double-or-nothing in Round 1 to take the early lead, after which they were passed when Jetstars, Dry Heaves, and The Cool Kids all doubled in Round 2. Dry Heaves doubled again in Round 3 (as did Dublin Down) and they gradually pulled away from the field to win. First-timer Mutts, playing solo, was the high scorer in the Guess Who round with 8 points - well played, sir! IrishFanz, Jetstars, Dublin Down and Dry Heaves all doubled in Round 5, and Jetstars went 10-6 in the final 2 rounds to take 2nd place in front of Dublin Down. Thanks to newcomers Wayne's World and Late 2 The Game (who joined mid-game), hope to see you next week. Thanks everyone!

Well....that was different! We had to switch to pen-and-paper midway through the game, but we still managed to have a great night at Mudrocks. Taylor's Version were hot from the start, converting successful double-or-nothing tries in Rounds 1 & 3, but Eggplant Parm stayed on their heels with a successful double in the Picture Round (round 2). Old Flames also hit a double in Round 3, and they were in the hunt all night. In fact, the entire game was a see-saw affair until Eggplant Parm hit a double in the Matching Round (6) for 20 points to distance themselves from the pack. Taylor's Version held off the rest of the field to take 2nd place, while regulars Old Flames, Jetstars and #momjeans battled it out for 3rd. Thanks to newcomers Bleacher Creature and Gringo for coming out tonight; though they were outflanked by the Emory Sisters, a good time was had by all. See you all next week!
