QUIZ RECAP

Well....wow!  That was quite a night here at Mudrock's!  #momjeans and Men matched each other score for score through the first 4 rounds, including successful double-or-nothing bids in rounds 1 AND 3, and those two led the pack entering round 5.  A tip of the hat to Oh Aggie Oneida! for a successful double of their own in Round 1; they were in the running until a -1 in the Guess Who round knocked them out of contention.  Jetstars were likewise within shouting distance after a successful double in Round 3; likewise a -1 in the Guess Who round ended their hopes of winning.  Thanks to first-timers McSnackie (who were steady throughout but were killed by a -1 in Round 4), and to first-timers Bulldogs who were high scorers in the Guess Who round as the only team to name Eva Longoria for 8 points. Meanwhile at the top of the table....

Men left the pack in their wake with successful doubles in rounds 5 & 6 to clinch victory; #momjeans scored 9 and 10 in those rounds to secure 2nd place, while Aggie Oneida nipped Jetstars at the post to claim 3rd place by a single point.  See you all next week!

QUIZ RECAP

A good time had by all, as usual, tonight at Mudrock's! #momjeans and Jetstars each hit a double-or-nothing right out of the gate....and they were the top two teams all night.  First-timers The Cunning Linguists were consistent all night, scoring 5-6-6-6-6-7-7 to finish third....hey, $10 is $10!  First timers Late Comers played well but a -1 in the Guess Who round was too much to overcome (though they did score 9 of a possible 10 twice!).  Skye Blue shook off a slow start to rise up to 4th place (including 6 of a possible 6 in the 1st theme round). Jetstars nosed ahead of #momjeans by being the only team to score 8 points in the Guess Who round, and the two teams were neck-and-neck until #momjeans hit a double in the Handout Round (6) to jump 12 points clear; they played it safe (i.e. did not double) in Round 7 to cruise home to victory, with Jetstars 2nd.  Thanks everyone, see you next week!

QUIZ RECAP

Well......that was fun!  We had a great turnout and a great game tonight at Mudrock's....and your quizmaster got a cake and a serenade for his birthday!

Taylor's Version, Jetstars and newcomers The Loxic Avengers each hit a successful double-or-nothing to start the night, while The Avengers, Will Nye The Science Guy, #momjeans and Muppets Take My Virginity all hit successful doubles in Round 3.  No fewer than 6 teams (!) correctly answered Guess Where for 8 points, and when the Muppets (along with Will Nye) hit another double in Round 5, they took a lead they would not relinquish. 4 teams got all 10 right in Round 6 (including Deep Space 69), and as teams tried for doubles to get back into the running, the pack separated itself....leaving The Loxic Avengers and Will Nye The Science Guy tied for 2nd and necessitating a tiebreaker!  The Avengers were closer in the tiebreaker round, leaving the top 3 spots occupied by first-timers.  My heartfelt thank to #momjeans for the card, the hats and the cake, and to all who joined in for the Happy Birthday song.  See you all next week!
