Once you walk through our door, you’re with friends. Locally owned and family operated, Mudrock’s Tap and Tavern brings the best of life’s simple pleasures together so you can relax, relate and share good times with us.

From breakfast biscuits to delicious burgers, wings and everything in between, we use fresh, natural ingredients and source from neighbors whenever possible. We’re constantly tapping and trying beer and most likely, have your favorites on one of our 30 taps. And yes, the game is always on one of 32 HD screens equipped with every major sports package.

The Mudrock name encapsulates the affinity we have for sports and our town’s community spirit and history. Local Louisville hard-working coal miners and their families loved playing baseball during summer when it was too hot to mine and, being far from pro teams, formed their own clubs. One player, Phil Mudrock, made it to the majors and signed as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in 1963. According to the Lousiville Times, he signed his contract right here behind the Miners Field backstop.

Not too bad. And as we like it, not too fancy. Just right.

Good times again tonight at Mudrock's! Sitzpinklers and The Even Primes hit successful double-or-nothing bids in Round 1....setting the tone for the night; Dis Bar were on the other end and took a zero after failing on a double bid. Sitzpinklers were also high scorers in Round 2 (8 of a possible 8) whiler Kim Jung Fun were 2nd with 7. Sitzpinklers, The Eddie Durans and Sea Pickles each fell for the banana in the tailpipe in the Guess Who round and took a -1; hats off to Beer Battered and Dis Bar, who answered correctly for 8 points. Sitzpinklers finished strong with 9 (of a possible 10) - 20 (converted double) - 7 (of a possible 10) to win going away, while The Even Primes (9-8-8 in the final 3 rounds) held on for 2nd place; also kudos to Pickleballers, who joined late and slowly caught up to the pack. Thanks for another fun night at Mudrocks, everyone! No fewer than 3 teams converted successful double-or-nothing tries in Round 1 tonight: Taylor's Version, Jetstars, and Travelers. Returners #momjeans were high scorers with 7 of a possible 8 in the Picture Round (along with Taylor's Version and The Even Primes). The Even Primes and first timers Take The Guns And Leave The Cannolis each took zeroes after failed double bids in Round 3 while The Even Primes bounced back with a double of their own for 12 points in Round 3. Interestingly, no fewer than 4 teams took a -1 in the Guess Who Round; when The Cannolis scored 6 in that round, the top 6 teams were all within a 3-point spread going into Round 5 (Go Getters left early, before I could even take their picture)! #momjeans were high scorers in the Find The Connection round (10 of a possible 10) to move within 4 points of the lead...until they hit a successful double for 20 points to leapfrog the field; Taylor's Version also hit a double in that round, and those two teams were running 1-2 entering the final round (Jetstars' failed double took them out of the running). #momjeans tallied 4 in Round 7 but Taylor's Version's 5 was not enough to overtake them, as #momjeans won the night with 53 points in front of Taylor's Version (50). Good times tonight at Mudrocks! Jetstars and The Even Primes each converted successful double-or-nothing bids to jump out to an early lead, and Jetstars and How I Met Your Mothra were high scorers in Round 2 with 7 of a possible 8; Monica laZYNski joined in at Round 2 and slowly reeled in the pack all night. Jetstars and How I Met Your Mothra converted doubles in Round 3 but newcomers Electric Waistbands made up a lot of ground by being the first team to correctly answer Guess Who for 10 points in recent memory - well done! Electric Waistbands then hit a double for 20 points in the Find The Connection round (5) to leapfrog the pack and move into the lead...until Jetstars returned the favor with a double of their own in Round 6 to grab the lead back; The 618ers suffered a failed double bid and dropped out of contention. All that was left for Jetstars was to post a decent score in the final round, and their 6 (of a possible 10) was more than enough to clinch the win, 5 points in front of Electric Waistbands; How I Met Your Mothra took 3rd.
