QUIZ RECAP

Well......that was fun!  We had a great turnout and a great game tonight at Mudrock's....and your quizmaster got a cake and a serenade for his birthday!

Taylor's Version, Jetstars and newcomers The Loxic Avengers each hit a successful double-or-nothing to start the night, while The Avengers, Will Nye The Science Guy, #momjeans and Muppets Take My Virginity all hit successful doubles in Round 3.  No fewer than 6 teams (!) correctly answered Guess Where for 8 points, and when the Muppets (along with Will Nye) hit another double in Round 5, they took a lead they would not relinquish. 4 teams got all 10 right in Round 6 (including Deep Space 69), and as teams tried for doubles to get back into the running, the pack separated itself....leaving The Loxic Avengers and Will Nye The Science Guy tied for 2nd and necessitating a tiebreaker!  The Avengers were closer in the tiebreaker round, leaving the top 3 spots occupied by first-timers.  My heartfelt thank to #momjeans for the card, the hats and the cake, and to all who joined in for the Happy Birthday song.  See you all next week!

QUIZ RECAP

Good times at Mudrock's tonight!  No fewer than 3 teams hit a succesful double-or-nothing out of the gate: #momjeans, Agents Of Fortune and Jetstars.  #momjeans were at the top of their game and never trailed after Round 2.  Skye Blue returned after a long absence, lingered around for a while and then came on strong to finish in 3rd place, while first-timers Vive La France! and Team FAFO each had their moment in the sun (Team FAFO were high scorers in the Guess Who round with 8). Jetstars were in the running until a -1 in the Guess Who round took them out of the race, while Agents Of Fortune stayed within striking distance of #momjeans for most of the night until the Moms hit a double in Round 6 to seal the deal, leaving the Agents to claim 2nd place.  Thanks everyone, looking forward to next week!

QUIZ RECAP

Wow, what a game tonight at Mudrock's!  The Even Primes and first-timers Wooshkie and Taylor's Version each came out strong with a successful double-or-nothing in Round 1...and old friends Gold Vs. Gold (under the pseudonym Plutonium Dreamhouse) and #momjeans each hit a succesful double in Round 2: 5 doubles in 2 rounds! Deep Space 69, after a rough start, were high scorers in the Guess Who Round (answering correctly for 8 points!) and finished strong.  It was a three-team race for much of the night, with #momjeans, Plutonium Dreamhouse and Taylor's Version all neck-and-neck through 5 rounds...until both Wooshkie and The Even Primes hit doubles in the final round to leap-frog into a tie for second and a TIEBREAKER.  #momjeans scored 10 of a possible 10 in the final round to win (just barely)...and Wooshkie guessed closer to win the tiebreaker (and the runner-up prize!)
