Down to the wire tonight at Mudrocks! The Even Primes and Jetstars jumped out in front with successful double-or-nothing tries in Round 1, and in Fact The Even Primes led for most of the night.  They, The Stehpinklers, and 1st-timers Going For Bronze were high scorers in Round 2 (7 of a possible 8), and those 3 teams EACH tallied 12 points with successful doubles in Round 3 to separate themselves from the pack for the time being.  The Guess Where round was cruel (doling out a -1 to 3 teams), after which The Even Primes were comfortably ahead...until The Stehpinklers convertd a successful double in Round 5 to jump into a tie for first.  In fact The Stehpinklers nosed a point in front in Round 6...only to be caught at the wire by The Even Primes, whose 7 pushed them past The Stehpinklers by a single point: well played!  Thanks to Beer Battered who hung in there all night.  See you all next time!

QUIZ RECAP

Thanks to everyone who turned out (and hung in) tonight at Mudrocks! The Sitzpinklers put their foot on the gas and ran away from the field from the outset: they converted successful double-or-nothing tries in Rounds 1, 2, 3 and 5! They also scored 6 in the Guess Who round (4), by which time they were comfortably ahead.  Their main competition was The Even Primes, who also doubled in Round 2 and were high scorers in Round 4 with 8, while first-timers Dark Horse Riders stayed within shouting distance of 2nd place all night. The Sitzpinklers stumbled in Round 6 (one wrong answer turned their bid for another double into a zero), leaving the door mathematically open for their pursuers...but they cruised home with the win 7 of a possible 10 in the final round.  Likewise Dark Horse Riders closed to within a few points for 2nd but in the end could not overtake The Even Primes. Thanks to Beer Battered, who arrived late but were game throughout.  Be good without me next week, see you all soon!
