Answer Submission Form for Pour Tap House

Pour is focused on bringing the community together.  We are creating an environment that showcases the quality craftsmanship of beers available to the world today, with an emphasis on Colorado craft beer.  Our focus is providing the community an exceptional environment to socialize, relax and interact with one another while experiencing all that properly served beer has to offer… one “Pour” at a time.

What we are:

Pour is a craft beer tap house with 30 draft lines focusing on the best beer we can source.  We have a constantly varying beer selection from the best breweries available.  Our taps have a wide variety of high-end craft beer that will appease the newest beer connoisseur to the oldest and most experienced beer snob.  We offer very basic snacks, but encourage you to bring whatever food you would like to enjoy while you partake in our beer selection.  We can make beer and food pairing suggestions to enhance your experience and will be conducting pairing events and education seminars routinely.  Finally, we are working with quality food trucks to bring some great food to our neighborhood while enhancing business opportunities for some very motivated individuals.  We look forward to seeing you at Pour and will gladly host any type of social gatherings you can dream up.

Your junior assistant quizmaster took the reins this week and we had an interesting quiz, with regular teams and some that jumped in at the last minute - it can be fun to play a few rounds even if you arrive late, but always good to get the full experience (and perhaps a spiff at the end!) There were a few shots in the dark at double or nothing early, which fizzled, along with some of the top teams jumping in early on the Guess Who? and stumbling, so the entire field was close coming into the clubhouse turn round 6. That's when the Midas Whales doubled up and took the lead, and thus set the scene for the final round -- where everyone went for double or nothing but nobody hit the home run in the bottom of the 7th (lots got 9 out of 10 from the list of 14 - reference https://www.mms.com/en-us/experience-mms/flavors click on the arrow to the right or left to scroll). Your regularly scheduled game will be back next week with your regular lovely host, thanks for playing!

Super packed night of awesome trivia at Pour Tap House last night! I was *beyond* thrilled to see so many quizzers hang out for trivia and jostle through the rankings all night long. My favorite moment is always when a team says they're only going to stick around for one or two rounds, but they end up playing all night. I attribute that to the competitive streak in all of us that is always compelled to try to win. Oh, and my excellent quizmistress skillz as well, obvi. Jk, jk, jk. (do people say "Jk" anymore? Has that gone by the wayside, just like "pwned" and "noob?" Please tell me, so I can avoid using the uncool slang around my tween nieces and embarrassing myself horribly).

Teams totally pwned (yeah, see what I did there?) Round 6 - TV Dads. Very impressed that every team knew the dad from Black-ish. Slightly disappointed that we didn't have that universal knowledge for Steven Keaton (solidly in the top 5 for TV dads, prove me wrong). Teams are also catching on to my strategy for Round 5, which is to provide some extra help when that round is ridiculously hard. Welp, given the stellar performance by the majority of teams last night, I think my little ducklings are beyond ready to swim on their own, so no more hints (beyond my excellent music selections, of course). Don't worry, y'all got this! Use your brains...your delicious brains...

Kudos to Mac Attack for stumping the quizmaster! Huzzah to Midas Whales for predictably taking first place on their first night back after a two week hiatus! Way to go Sexy Rexy (aka Threat Level Midnight) for getting second place and being soooo close to first! A-for-Effort Michelle's Birthday Bitches (aka NKOTB) for taking the coveted "sorta third place but not really" spot (can't wait for Michelle to actually join you next week :)!

And, as always, huge THANK YOUs to Matt and Chris behind the bar for keeping everyone hopped up on hops, and La Baja in the food truck for your delicious sustenance and just over-all awesomeness.

See you next week for trivia and tacos!

Holy freezing cold, Batman! This was an insanely chilly night in Colorado, which is why it was so wonderful to see so many trivia champs brave the frigid temps and belly up at Pour Tap House for a fun night of random knowledge besting. We had regulars and we had newbies. One particular newbie was Chris behind the bar, helping Mary toss suds all night. Welcome, Chris! Another new team came to us from all the way down in Aurora. Hope to see you again, Rocket Riders! Thanks as always to La Patrona for delivering delicious tacos and burritos all evening.

As usual, Round 2 was a roaring success, with teams nailing those debut movie roles and, even more impressive to me, knowing just who the heck those celebrities were in the first place. My celeb knowledge is...extremely poor. Scarlette Johansen and Kate Hudson aren't the same people? I'll believe it when I see them both standing together wearing different clothes. What's that, you say? There are several pictures of that exact description? LIES. Round 5 was also quite fun, but only one team got the Operation theme. Most teams came up with body parts as a unifying concept, but that wasn't quiiiite right.

Of course, there can only be one in the end (and by "one" I of course mean "three"). Great job to First in Gym Class for getting 1st place - you haven't seen that number one spot in a few weeks. Drinkers with a Trivia Problem pulled off 2nd place with a team of two - awesome work! And 3rd place went to Rocket Riders for just being all around awesome.

See you all next week for more trivia and tacos!
