QUIZ RECAP

Regulars and newcomers alike went head-to-head at King Trivia at Barney's Beanery in Burbank last night. Teams wrestled for control of the top spots over rounds about the ongoing WGA & SAG double-strike, questions and answers about the number five, and identifying how 9 answers shared references to The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (that's like 3 answers in the title alone!). At the end of the night, Those People eeked out a win by identifying the most Best Female Athlete winners from the ESPYs. Our second place duo, Blue Team, walked away with an impressive 68 points while Tea Lizards De Milo maintained their status as one of Barney's Beanery's top regular teams with a third place win.

For our drinking round, teams had to guess the outcome of a classic game of heads-or-tails, resulting in Movie Bros winning a pitcher of beer! Impressively, this trio downed their pitcher quickly in order to make it to a movie screening in time. We hope you REALLY enjoyed yourselves at the theater!

This Wednesday's King Trivia at Barney's Beanery was electrifying: sixteen passionate teams went head-to-head with their knowledge of romcoms and Toms with aplomb. Tea Lizards ran away with first place at 68 points, followed by newcomers Bad Boys of Animation at 49 points and Those People claiming third with 47 points. Teams also competed in a guessing game for our drinking round where the best guesser from each group guessed the amount of clear thumbtacks in a jar. With a guess of 180 "eggs", team 80 Eggs won a pitcher of beer for their table by getting closest to the correct number: 191 thumbtacks! (I should know: I hand-counted the thumbtacks and pricked myself multiple times in the name of glorious trivia)

This week's King Trivia at Barney's Beanery had everything: questions in honor of Shark Week, debates on whether it's appropriate to see Barbie or Oppenheimer first, a celebratory cheer for soon-to-be newlyweds, and a competition that required skill and hand-eye coordination!

Our reigning champions Tea Lizards de Milo ran away with our first place prize, but newcomers Bridgerton Baddies and Syenite's Revenge rose to the top of the leaderboard with 75 points and 64 points (respectively). Our drinking round had teams compete in a pen toss challenge to try and get a pen into a glass jar from six feet away. After several near-wins, a member of Cale Is Getting Married made a graceful game-winning toss and scored a pitcher of beer for their table. Congrats to all of our winners!
