QUIZ RECAP

That's another big week in the books for the big brains at Barney's Beanery in beautiful Burbank! We have seen a lot of tough competition here in the weeks since we've been back and this week was no different. New faces and returning champions alike made their way onto the field of mental combat and while many competed, only one walked away with the coveted champion's title (and a $50 gift card). 

This week saw the Double-or-Nothing button giveth and taketh away, as returning friends of the game McFatterson bet big but miss that mark by just one, and Bounty Law beat that button like it owed them $50 to great effect! Second and third place for this week were new friends TWA and Venezuela FTW. The aforementioned Bounty Law sat high in the saddle in the number one position for their second time in three, using that double or nothing option SEVERAL times and securing a massive 25 point lead over the competition

This week also saw a return of the Drinking Round, where our competitors selected four letters at random and then had to name as many breakfast cereals as they could that started with those letters. Somehow, bounty law squeaked past the competition in that round as well, seeing their way to victory and winning a genuine home safari adventure (just add water and the animals pop right out of the capsule).

Overall, it was a great time and we were thrilled to see so many smiling faces back out again at Barneys, where we'll be next week, and every week until the sun collapses in on itself. We hope to see you as much as possible until then! 

QUIZ RECAP

Another great game is in the books at Barney's Beanery Burbank this week. The mood was right, the music was pumping and the competition was furious, as we threw some A's at some Q's. Team My couch brings all the boys to the yard, returned and was just narrowly squeaked past by returning champions Bounty Law. The champs brought their A-game but were passed up by We Back Again who rocketed into the lead with a big 6th round win. Honorable mention goes to all our other competitors who showed up and put in the work. We love to see you out here and we're thrilled to see the turnout grow!

Team And the winner of the game is... won our origami duck beauty pageant and walked away with some genuine movie memorabilia from Open Water (a promotional notepad from the 2003 shark flick) courtesy of Quizmaster Cody's private collection of things that he needs to get out of his house. Our top three winners walked away with $25, $35 and $50 gift cards for their next visit to Barneys. Hopefully they bring them back next Wednesday at 9 for another shot at the crown! We'll be here then and every week to bring you the best games, the toughest competition and the strongest drinks this side of Ventura Blvd. Can't wait to see you there!

QUIZ RECAP

Welcome back, world!  It was a great first time out at Barney's Beanery in lovely Burbank CA for our new Quizmaster, Cody! The post quarantine vibes were in full effect as our teams competed for their spot at the top of the King Trivia foodchain. Early arrivals McFatterson looked like they had it in the bag with some great teamwork that carried them on through the evening's mental gauntlet.

...and they would've gotten away with it it if it weren't for those darn meddling kids! The kids in question were Barneys new arrivals Bounty Law and their table-neighbors Steve Sleeve, who dominated rounds two and three respectively, taking full advantage of that Double or Nothing bonus and continued to crush it all the way to the final round! Battling ther way through to the very end with Bounty Law dealing out real Frontier Justice and clinching it by a too-close-for-comfort two point advantage and taking home those free drinks. No better return to the land of the living than an honest to goodness barn-burner on your first night out!

Honorable mention to our airplane engineers for bringing their best designs to the table and showing off their flight skills in our drinking round, as well as some of the other two-player teams who put in their best efforts. Trivia is a team sport, and the best way to give your team that competitive edge is to bring a bunch of friends to Barney's Beanery Burbank EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT and put those heads together!  If you want to get back in on the action, come play with us next week and see who will be crowned our King Trivia Champs!
