An insanely high scoring night as teams battled back and forth for a win in Burbank. Don't Worry Beyonce, Sunday night regulars at Barney's Santa Monica (is trivia ever coming back there?), showed up to dust off their question answering skills after a year and a half in quarantine and while they didn't finish in the top three, their score was mighty high and impressive for their first game back. Instead, three other teams pushed even higher with their scores and the Tea Lizards, those trivia loving little freaks, maintained a win after edging out everyone else throughout each and every round tonight. A truly impressive feat.

An exciting game of trivia as our teams attempted to catch Tea Lizards who had an early lead and managed to maintain that throughout the duration of the night. 2nd and 3rd were constantly in flux as Vaxxed, Waxed and Spouting Some Facts took on McFatterson and Whiskey Thoughts (until they were caught cheating...wah wah wah). Nice to MEAT You may not have made it into the winner's circle tonight but they provided some great "guesses" in the form of answers that definitely made the Quizmaster laugh so that will always be appreciated - and hey, you still won a free pitcher of beer for your efforts in the Drinking Round where we attempted to name the three animals that have been voiced by Round 3 spotlighter John Cena.

And the return tour continues! Barney's Burbank was ready for some trivia tonight - and each and every team truly delivered round after round. Our regulars, Intravenus DeMilo, Millennial Falcons, Tea Lizards and Vaxxed, Waxxed and Chris is Back! flitted in and out of first, second and third throughout the entire evening while newbies Funcky Muncys brought the heat and kept on gaining ground with every question asked. An exciting game to witness - and I'm sure equally as exciting to play! Teams struggled with athlete nicknames but in a particularly challenging Find the Connection round, they really outshone themselves and started the second half of the game very strong. If this is what the 2021 competition is going to look like, everyone's gonna be Tournament ready in no time!
