QUIZ RECAP

The Bakery was boppin' this week, without a doubt, as eleven enthusiastic teams gathered to match wits and test their intellectual acumen, amid pasta and croissants and cookies, oh my!

When the dust - and the confectioner's sugar - settled, 3 Halves of a Whole Idiot emerged victorious, having racked up 70 big points. (Odd team name though. I mean, everybody knows that three halves doesn't make a whole idiot. You'd need two more halves for that, right?)

Darlene's Angels were devilishly good, as well, and finished in second place with a nifty 46 points. And the accounting firm of Jackson/Burke (entirely trustworthy - they do Donald Trump's taxes!) landed in third with a score of 43.

Honorable mention kudos go to A Team Has No Name and We Know Nothing, Jon Snow for their delightful use of timely Game of Thrones-related names. Attaway to tap into the cultural zeitgeist, friends!

QUIZ RECAP

This recap space is intended as a vehicle to describe the goings-on at The Back Door Bakerys & Cafe's weekly Wednesday night trivia quiz. And we certainly try to do that.

But in a fine example of that old adage about a picture being worth a thousand words, check out the before and after pictures (photos #1 & #2 above) of how team Hodge Podge rolls during the quiz! That's some two-fisted drinkin' right there!

Now, you might think that's photo 1 was taken before the quiz began and photo#2 was taken after it concluded. Yeah...you might think that. But NOOOOOOOOO! That was before and after round 1! (mea culpa: I might be exaggerating a little about this!)

But every picture tells a story, and the nine shots from last night's quiz paint a pretty clear picture of the good times and great people that gather every hump day to engage in a bit of trivia battle. You should come check it out. A good time is guaranteed.

QUIZ RECAP

Fun and frivolity was once again on display this week at the Back Door Bakery and Cafe, and it was anybody's game to win as the final scores were close, close, CLOSE!

Hodge Podge - the formidable force pictured in photo #1 - emerged victorious with a strong 76-point performance. From there, things got a little tight. The Pharmacy Professionals ended regulation play in a tie with THAT Team! The Pharmacists won the tie breaker to take second place, with THAT Team! in third.

Just one point behind all of that, with a very respectable 42 points, The Smart "A's" were, indeed, pretty smart. Maybe you'll get that single point for winner's circle glory next week, A's!

We do have us some good food and fun and frivolity every Wednesday night at the BDB, and we'll be back for more next week. See ya then! (Yeah - the BDB. That's what people in the know call it. You could be part of the in crowd too! We'll see ya next week.)
