As usual, The Back Door Bakery and Cafe was the place to be on Wednesday night, and eight enthusiastic teams gathered to match wits and test their intellectual acumen in an impassioned evening of King Trivia amid pasta and croissants and cookies, oh my!
When the dust - and the confectioner's sugar - settled, Shana Maidela's emerged victorious despite the much lamented absence of team anchor Robin (feel better soon, Robin! We miss you!)
Frequent top-three finisher Hodge Podge celebrated the return of team anchor Lorraine by finishing in second. (Welcome back, Lorraine - we missed you too!)
And Late Birds (who arrived right on time) rounded out our top three, while a pair of actual late birds - Crowther/Romero - racked up an impressive 31 points despite missing the first two rounds! Imagine what they might achieve if they play the full game. Yeah, imagine THAT, Shane and Hodge!!
We do have us some good fun on trivia night, every Wednesday at 6:30 (or 7pm - if your name is Crowther or Romero!) We'd be happy to see you any time. Come for the delicious food - stay for the stimulating trivia!

When the dust - and the confectioner's sugar - settled, 3 Halves of a Whole Idiot emerged victorious, having racked up 70 big points. (Odd team name though. I mean, everybody knows that three halves doesn't make a whole idiot. You'd need two more halves for that, right?)
Darlene's Angels were devilishly good, as well, and finished in second place with a nifty 46 points. And the accounting firm of Jackson/Burke (entirely trustworthy - they do Donald Trump's taxes!) landed in third with a score of 43.
Honorable mention kudos go to A Team Has No Name and We Know Nothing, Jon Snow for their delightful use of timely Game of Thrones-related names. Attaway to tap into the cultural zeitgeist, friends!
