New friends and familiar faces gathered for another rousing round of King Trivia this week at The Back Door Bakery and Cafe. In the "familiar faces" category, Hodge Podge delivered another winning effort, taking the night with 59 points.
In the "new friends" category, we were delighted to be joined by Crazy Southerners, who did not seem at all crazy. A little silly, maybe, but we were happy to have you with us.

There's no better way to usher in the holiday season than surrounded by friends and warm, delicious baked goods. And thus it was this week at The Back Door Bakery and Cafe where frequent winners THAT Team! and Hodge Podge once again found themselves at the top of the leaderboard, along with the dynamic duo Mamma Mia, (photo #1 - right over there!)who put themselves in the top three by executing an impressive double double-or-nothing strategy in the final two rounds!
The Back Door Bakery will be open Christmas Day with great goods and the best baked goods in Southern California, and we'll be back for more trivia action on the 26th. We hope you'll join us. The rarely seen chicken-faced man made an appearance this week at The Backdoor Bakery and Cafe in Sunland Tujunga, when several timid teams answered every question correctly on one or more rounds but failed to muster the courage necessary to execute the double-or-nothing option!
The chicken-faced man appears in such circumstances not to mock teams who hesitate to risk everything for the sweet success of double points, but rather to encourage those teams to dig deep and go big.
No photos are known to exist (so far) of the mysterious chicken-faced man, so you'll just have to come see for yourself what the big clucker looks like. See ya next Wednesday.
