About Bar Charlie

Bar Charlie landed in the North Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle in December 2016. Bar Charlie aims to be a comfortable neighborhood bar featuring beers, food and spirits crafted in the greater Pacific Northwest.

Bar Charlie's interior concept is inspired by the history of the De Havilland Beaver Seaplane and is a mix of actual seaplane parts, wood, concrete and metal.  The walls have photography and art detailing the history of Seaplanes on Lake Union.

 

Bar Charlie was created by Christian Thomason with mentoring and construction assistance from Chris Navarra.

 

Bar Charlie evolved out of the desire to do something more than tackle an endless mountain of bureaucratic paperwork.  It’s intended to be a neighborhood gathering spot, a place to unwind with good drinks and food.

It was an exciting Tuesday at Bar Charlie, chock full of new teams (ten in total), double or nothings, and a militarized party boy fireman (in perhaps the most esoteric question I've seen to date- not a one team guessed correctly, but there was another sighting of Bar Charlie's eponymous pooch, so all is well)

The Hand Out round was full of teams willing to take the double or nothing leap and most that did, earned a cool 20 points!

After being tied with Wacka Flacka Flames for about 5 rounds, Sleeping Booty was able to edge them out and take the 3rd Place Prize. Neuro Transmissions, a one-person powerhouse of team, grasped 2nd Place, with XX points, only 1 point behind our 1st Place Wacka Flacka Flames who ended the night with xx points. All in all really good and fun night of King Trivia.

Had a great night at Bar Charlie with a few new faces! We only had the Lemurs for one round, but Pseudonym, Risk it for the Biscuit, I.P. Freely, and They Abandoned Me (but then they showed up) all had a successful run for a first time out with two of the three new teams all placing!

Risk it for the Biscuit ended the night with 59 points, securing Third Place. King Trivia stalwarts Team 5-1-0 just edged them out with 63 points for Second Place, but it was They Abandoned Me (but then they showed up) with a 6th round Double or Nothing that put them firmly in First Place with 68 point!

Wonder what new faces we'll see next Tuesday!

Super fun night at Bar Charlie! Many teams had a strong First Round with 6 hitting the Double or Nothing.

It stayed close throughout with several teams keeping in close range of one another, though Gotta Run actually had to and left after the 2nd round (it wasn't just a clever name). Still 18 points is a noble showing for two rounds of work! (come back next week- I see great things in your future)

At the end of the night, three prize winners were Team 5-1-0 with 56 points, The Spy is in the House with 59 points, and leap frogging from 4th to 1st with a Round 6 Double or Nothing, Wine Aunts with 61 points!
