About Bar Charlie

Bar Charlie landed in the North Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle in December 2016. Bar Charlie aims to be a comfortable neighborhood bar featuring beers, food and spirits crafted in the greater Pacific Northwest.

Bar Charlie's interior concept is inspired by the history of the De Havilland Beaver Seaplane and is a mix of actual seaplane parts, wood, concrete and metal.  The walls have photography and art detailing the history of Seaplanes on Lake Union.

 

Bar Charlie was created by Christian Thomason with mentoring and construction assistance from Chris Navarra.

 

Bar Charlie evolved out of the desire to do something more than tackle an endless mountain of bureaucratic paperwork.  It’s intended to be a neighborhood gathering spot, a place to unwind with good drinks and food.

Blue's Crew rocked it in first tonight, many thanks to the team mascot, Marty (the dog).  Second place received a custom certificate for second and coming in the first third place, QE II (It's a number two, not two letter i's, of course).

The questions were hard, but the drinks were easy.  Coming out on top though, WE'RE ON A BREAK!  A massive 5th round propelled them to the win even though they could only name 3 of the top 7 hot dog brands.  Shockingly, "Raw Dog" was not actually a top 7 hot dog brand.  Probably #8.

What a great night of trivia! Things stayed close the whole game with teams all vying for the top spot!

Team Marty Town has some early stirgfles missing a double or nothing in the first round but quickly bounced back with a double or nothing in the second.

The Einstein's had a strong showing but we're usurped by The Goose is Loose who got the most points in round 4! 

Marty Town was able to take the top prize and hold off The Goose is Loose in the end while Blarol put in a strong effort and the Einsteins held on the 3rd place. It was a great night and we'll see what happens next week!
