QUIZ RECAP

This was a HUGE week at The Dudes!! We had 14 teams and more than 60 participants. It was a great 2 hours of trivia with scored climbing well into the 50s. I have to think was a record week for the venue.

We had a lot of first-timers and several veterans. The crowd went wild on the Drinking Round question, which was "name the last 8 Bachelor and Bachelorette Contestants in Order." Surprisingly, an all-guys team won in just seconds! It was a time-based contest.

All the teams stayed with us for the duration, but it was a team of three - including 2 newcomers - that stole the show. They double-downed on the 80s songs/artist matching to sweep the game. And contrary to popular belief, the winners - MY DAD AND BROTHER AND HIS GF - of course, did not have the answers prior. They're just trivia fiends!!

I'll be off next week, but look forward to seeing the teams on 8/29!

QUIZ RECAP

This week's King Trivia at The Dudes Brewing Co. was another thrilling, stimulating and fun game! Our 10 teams' scores were fairly close throughout 7 rounds of play. We had some returning teams from last week, so clearly my KT debut must have left them wanting more! We also had some new teams. A few teams tested their luck with Double or Nothing and the gambles proved fruitful! The teams surprised me with their astute knowledge of professional sports team in Pennsylvania, but some of the history questions stumped them. We shared some laughs during the drinking round -- a style of questions that I need to perfect. The teams said they had a good time and are looking forward to next week!

Some teams had several players, while some were quite lean. Our winners this week were on a team of two! Which goes to show you that you don't have to a have a big squad to rule King Trivia -- though, the more the merrier for sure! Till next week, my friends 🙂

QUIZ RECAP

Hosting at The Dudes' Brewing Co. was a terrific experience! It was my first-ever experience hosting as a certified Quizmaster and it couldn't have been more fun! We had 10 teams through 7 exciting rounds of play, plus one drinking round that ended in a surprise tie -- thus warranting yielding an unforgettable tie-breaker question! The questions tested the mind and spirit, calling upon the depths of players' high school world history and players' mastery of contemporary art, music and culture. The diverse crowd had a great time in an energized and inviting atmosphere. The veterans supported me in my Quizmaster debut and the newbies in the crowd enjoyed themselves as well! Several teams double downed and the risk paid off, while a few teams hedged their bets and came up empty handed. The double or nothing rounds soared a few teams' scores to the high double-digits and the high-scoring night was sealed off based on one team's superior knowledge of Baltic Sea geography. I look forward to our next evening in Santa Monica at The Dudes' Brewing Co!
