The Dudes’ Brewing Company is a Torrance-based craft brewery founded in 2013. The Dudes’ specialize in innovative approaches to classic beer styles designed to appeal to casual beer drinkers and craft beer fanatics alike. The Dudes’ current offerings include: Double Trunk Double IPA, CalifornIPA, Grandma’s Pecan English Style Brown, JuiceBox Series: Blood Orange Amber, JuiceBox Series: Peach Berliner Weisse, Bohemian Hopsody Session IPA, The WRug White Russian Imperial Stout, Kölschtal Eddy Blonde Ale, Surfrider American Pale Ale as well as other seasonal offerings.

The German have an expression for last night: Ein kleiner Nachtfick, which mean's a little night f-you get the point. (That's also a music joke for my nerd out theres.) It was a night of "of course!" as one of the biggest groups ever at Dude's stuck around as I played a riveting round of "Silent Trivia" due to some equipment issues. All in all, it was a interesting night as we saw one of the closet games ever, with the top three teams only beating each other by a single point. TRIPLE BS are becoming ones to look out for as they took the crown over DRUNKIN DONUTS. PAWNEE GODDESSES took third, but a close third indeed.

After the game of ridiculous scores last week, I seemed to finally have a challenge for my teams at Dudes' Santa Monica. We had a delightful bell curve of a night where our third place finishers last week, THE BRAINY BUNCH, took the top prize...although they told me that they don't really drink beer. I'm gonna have a talk with the manager if I can give away pizza if the team prefers. TRIPLE BS and PILOT JONES, 2nd and 3rd respectively, were more than happy to take their four-packs and run for the hills.

As a side note, I must say that SPICY SWEET PIZZA at Dudes' was simply outstanding. Get it. If you don't, we can't be friends. I'm waiting...

I don't know what was in the beer last night, but there was one hell of a game of trivia at Dudes' Santa Monica! Despite some backstage drama, everything went on without as hitch while we had what I can safely assume was the highest scoring game ever at Dudes! Were the questions too easy? Were the teams just sooper dooper smart? Who knows? But all of the teams should be proud since their scores could've won any other night.

Those old favorites SUN ASSEMBLY REQUIRED returned and held their position as the top team once again (despite not staying for their photo, hence the repeat!). They tied with our second place team, TRIPLE Bs, but their knowledge of FRIENDS episodes took them over the edge. The Bs weren't disappointed in second though - they finally made it to the podium. Newcomers THE BRAINY BUNCH took third.
