QUIZ RECAP

This week, trivia fell on the kickoff of Thursday Night Football! We had a great time through 7 rounds of edge-of-your-seat play with the Bears vs. Packers game on in the background. Thank you, Dudes Brewing Co., for having it on!

We had an awesome turn out. Ten teams with more than 50 players total so teams brought out all their all-stars to play.

In honor of the NFL's 100th Season, the Drinking Round featured 6 carefully curated trivia questions about LA's 2 NFL team: the Rams and the Chargers. Instead of a traditional round, each team sent up one delegate to the front of the room for a live multiple choice trivia round. Contestants shouted their names as their buzzers when they knew the questions and let's just say, the game got heated! There were cheers, rounds of applause, participants jumping up and down, and maybe even a few boos! Everyone had a fun time in this new experience, but NO PANTS PARTY came up victorious, earning themselves some delicious brews from The Dudes.

Trivia continued after our animated drinking round and I LOST MY VIRGINITY AT edged out BED BATH & BEYONCE in the first tie-breaker round I've ever experienced. Round 7 was all about Morgan Freeman's highest-grossing films. The tie-breaking question? What's the average gross for one of his films. Turns out it's more than $100 million and I LOST MY VIRGINITY AT was closest.

QUIZ RECAP

It was great to be back at The Dudes for trivia. I missed last week and missed the Thursday night crew! We were thrilled to host 14 teams through all 7 rounds of play. Even though it was the start to Labor Day Weekend, we had a terrific showing.

Scores skyrocketed early on when teams deployed the Double or Nothing option in the first two rounds of play! Matching one syllable movie titles with stills from the film was a high-scoring round. Teams tested their knowledge when it came to guess the identity of the Seattle Space Needle.

In this week's custom drinking round question, we got a large spectrum of answers to the question: without going over, how many alligators live in Florida? The answer? 1.25 MILLION! WOW!!

QUIZ RECAP

What an outstanding round of trivia we had at The Dudes' Brewing Co! Twelve teams, each hungrier than the last, arrived ready to throw down to Quiz Town. After two hours of grueling questions--with a short break for a little marshmallow fun--only the strongest survived.

Things opened with slow and steady gains. Green Monkeys took the lead and decided in Round 2 that they aimed to win it all (spoiler alert: they did). This didn't stop newcomers Kershaw Isn't Sober in October from pulling out all the stops round after round.

Arriving late to the game, We Lost Our Virginity At... knew they might not earn enough points to hit the leader board, but that didn't stop them from driving out the competition during the Drink Round. Their mallow game was on point, and it earned them the coveted drink coupons.

In the end, it came down to real estate and a little bit of Price is Right logic. Green Monkeys and Kershaw faced off in a tie-breaker round, coming in with a photo finish (both guesses were dangerously close).
