The Dudes’ Brewing Company is a Torrance-based craft brewery founded in 2013. The Dudes’ specialize in innovative approaches to classic beer styles designed to appeal to casual beer drinkers and craft beer fanatics alike. The Dudes’ current offerings include: Double Trunk Double IPA, CalifornIPA, Grandma’s Pecan English Style Brown, JuiceBox Series: Blood Orange Amber, JuiceBox Series: Peach Berliner Weisse, Bohemian Hopsody Session IPA, The WRug White Russian Imperial Stout, Kölschtal Eddy Blonde Ale, Surfrider American Pale Ale as well as other seasonal offerings.

Nothing gold can stay and so my run at Dudes' comes to a close... for only a few weeks! I'm going to miss this place while I'm out of town, as Dude's has become a great home for trivia over this summer. I want to see these number grow and grow and by the time I'm back, I want this place to be packed!

It was another nail biter as no team took control until an amazing matching round with Quarterbacks and Teams, where FOUR TEAMS DOUBLED! I have never seen so many straight men light up with joy during trivia before. It truly was a sight to behold.

It ultimately came down to a pair of usual suspects with I LOST MY VIRGINITY AT...77 taking first with APE-TIT close behind at 63 for second. Newcomers THE EINSTEINS came in third even though I had to kick them out of their table so I could set up my sound gear. But they seemed more than happy with their free beer.

Yet another wild night at Dudes' Santa Monica as THREE WHOLE TEAMS showed up to play before the holiday weekend. You heard me right, I had three teams last night. I'm not sure either how I was able to manage the raucous evening. The teams were all neck and neck throughout the game and not clear winner emerged until the last two rounds. BOOZY BRAINY BULLDOG BUDDIES sent a message to the other teams with a late double and DAVIS WRONG almost caught up in the final round but they missed 1 and had to get nothing instead of double. Our humble winners didn't want their picture on the site, so I'm showcasing the other two teams. They may not have won, but they had a damn fine time.

It was a real bobbydazzler at Dudes' Santa Monica last night. Every round had a surprise in store, including a consistent three-way tie between our top teams! It wasn't until the 2nd half of the game that the top teams were separated. THE CHER-WOLVES took the top spot with 70 points, an all-time Dudes' high score methinks*. SUN ASSEMBLY REQUIRED came in 2nd while I LOST MY VIRGINITY AT... settled for 3rd.

The greatest drama came from the drinking around as 7 of the 8 teams were able to identify all of the hit songs from 2008 while one team missed just one! Being a charitable fellow, I figured it was best to reward SHILLY as not only are they visitors to our country, they just couldn't place this.

*It is the 3rd highest score ever at Dudes'!
