The Dudes’ Brewing Company is a Torrance-based craft brewery founded in 2013. The Dudes’ specialize in innovative approaches to classic beer styles designed to appeal to casual beer drinkers and craft beer fanatics alike. The Dudes’ current offerings include: Double Trunk Double IPA, CalifornIPA, Grandma’s Pecan English Style Brown, JuiceBox Series: Blood Orange Amber, JuiceBox Series: Peach Berliner Weisse, Bohemian Hopsody Session IPA, The WRug White Russian Imperial Stout, Kölschtal Eddy Blonde Ale, Surfrider American Pale Ale as well as other seasonal offerings.

It was a quiet night at Dudes' Santa Monica but I was able to scrape up five teams for trivia. Yet, one team left after a few rounds (AND TOOK MY PRECIOUS PEN!) leaving the battle four where one would be the only one walking away without a prize. Sadly, it was BSK who took that honor. Newcomers DRINK ON SET were in contention all night long for the title and walked away with first. NEVER FIRST PLACE lived up to its name and took second, leaving TEAM LCL as the proud owners of a four-pack...despite there being six members.

Ugh. Finally. NEVER FIRST PLACE made it to the podium! After weeks of coming in 4th, those persistent children finally placed and won some free beer. I was afraid they were going to leave and never return. Even though it was third, they were plum delighted to finish behind HUSBANDS W/ GONORRHEA in second, and those perennial winners SUN ASSEMBLY REQUIRED in first.

Apparently, foosball is very popular and also attracts a great deal of ornithologists as Dudes' was packed with bird watchers this past week. I never knew of the crossover and I'm happy to learn something new every day. GO BIRDS - CAW came from behind to clinch the title with a late game double, while the leaders for most of the game, MINUTE 30 GRDY took second. The scramble for 3rd was clinched by one point as NOTORIOUS RBG overtook KYLE IS A DICK for that last four pack of beer.
