It was a wild night full of ups, downs, and birthdays at The Federal, with teams like Sluts from the 90s doubling their way to the top 4 by knowing their airports. After climbing their way to tied second place, Gazpacho won the tie-breaker, ending up ahead of New Years Eve Nurses. Saved by the Bell Biv Devoe won first place, and celebrated a birthday, so it was smiles all around.

After every team proved their cocktail knowledge by successfully Finding the Connection, they all attempted to win the drinking round with Agents of the Zeitgeist having the most correct answers first, identiying a couple classic 80s songs by title, artist, and year.
Three teams played an entirely tied game: Saved by the Bell Biv Devoe, Agents of the Zeitgeist, and Make Moonies Great Again. Eventually they earned first, second, and third place, respectively, based on their answers to the tie-breaking question.
Although the three-way-tie in the final round was quite exciting, the true excitement was the adorable selection of dogs in attendance tonight at The Federal. That said, the one baby on site did not seem entertained.

Eight teams took part at The Federal this week, half of which were newcomers, along with your Quizmaster Heather. Not a bad turn out for Labor Day!
It was pretty much Gazpacho's night all night, with Saved by the Bell Biv Devoe on their tail. A successful double or nothing in Round 6 secured Gazpacho's number one spot, but Saved still manages a second place spot (with only an impressive 2-player team). Newcomers Divergents had an impressive night as well (those double or nothing’s will get ya!).
Pussy Galore, Can't Think of a Clever Name, Calzones, Something Blue, and Team First Date (aw!) were all very close and were able to finish out with a still impressive night.
For the drinking round, teams were asked to name the artist and title of 4 different songs, and then determine the connection between all 4 as well. Team First Date was the only team able to get every question right, earning them a round of drinks!
Thanks to all who played! See you all next week J
