Heaters were buzzing, as was the vibe in The Federal for Trivia Night! With a variety of new teams trying their luck, the game started off lively. Gazpacho took an early lead, doubling round one and round three. It looked like 'Saved By the Bell Biv Devoe' was going to catch up as they, and 'The Devil Wears Nada' scored well in the fourth and sixth rounds. Since the game was moving slowly, the drinking round was a quick game of "Oldest Coin". Gazpacho had one from 1966 and no other team could beat it, winning them the drinks along with first place in the game.

Although the air was quite chilly, devoted trivia players ventured out for a quick game of King Trivia. Everyone was bundled up as the game began, with scores landing all over the place in Round one. It was The Picture Round where things really heated up when The Frozen Tundras doubled, taking a serious lead over the other teams. Once The Four Seasons Landscaping Company and Titt Romney doubled in round 3, the game was set. After a difficult Guess Who and Find the Connection round, teams needed to get the blood flowing so they competed in the Drinking Round with a Jumping Jack Contest. After two teams remained jumping, they raced for a winner. The Frozen Tundras were faster and earned a round of drinks.
In the end the Campbell's Soup can colors eluded everyone, but Tundras kept their lead with Four Seasons and Titt Romney not far behind. Here's hoping next week includes heat lamps!

The Federal was pretty quiet tonight, with only 4 teams playing (although 'Sarah & Shane' jumped in and dominated round 2). The picture round, Yestercades, was indeed a success all around, with most teams identifying nearly all the 80s arcade games. But it was the connection in round 5 that really solidified the top three, with Gazpacho, Agents of the Zeitgeist, and "And in the fourth place" all doubling for a score of 20 each.
As the night was going smoothly, the drinking round was a bit on the performative side. Quizmaster Yael asked teams to send up a representative to do their best celebrity impersonation. Just Danielle set the bar pretty high, going first, with her impression of Gwen Stefani. Unfortunately, the Ray Butani from Schitts Creek and Jennifer Coolidge from Cinderella Story weren't at the Gwen Stefani level, but it was Agents of the Zeitgeist's Crispin Glover in Back To The Future that induced a large applause earning them the drinks.
Ultimately, Gazpacho and Agents of the Zeitgeist took first and second place with a 3 point margin.
