Great Monday as usual at The Federal! The Lonely Boyz, a one woman team had multiple perfect rounds; UFO Slighting hit it big and won a round of free drinks by being able to name every Overwatch League team; and one team guessed that the spinoff of "Dallas" was called "Not Dallas". In the end, Yasss Queens got TWO double or nothings in a row in round 5 and 6, and got a perfect score in the Guess Who? round to pull ahead and win our first place prize. They also mentioned to me that one of their members knew that the Find The Connection Round's answer was Back to the Future after the first answer..."Pepsi", that same player also was able to correctly identify all 10 NFL quarterbacks by their numbers. I have never done this, but I am awarding that gentleman MVP of the night.

Want your chance to win MVP of the night(as well as drinks, prizes, and more) come to The Federal NoHo for some trivia every Monday night!

Another packed house here at the Federal, AKA the smartest bar in LA(don't tell any of the other King Trivia locations). Trivial Pursuers didn't leave a single point on the table until the Guess Who? round and used that lead to catapult themselves to 1st place on the evening. However, the team that won my heart this beautiful Monday evening was [DRAWING OF A DOG], who drew me a separate drawing of a wiener dog every round; sometimes the dog was dressed as a pirate, other times he was in a banana suit. They won creativity points, which is not the same thing as actual trivia points, otherwise they would have won the day by 115 points.

After an intense tie breaker question Pilgrim Post narrowly edged out Spotted Richards for our second place prize. We are here every week at The Federal, so if you want to come by and make your team name a drawing, then I will see you Monday at 8:30!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 10051 Trivial Pursuers 75 10 1.000
2* Pilgrim Post 61 8 0.850
2 14706 Spotted Richards AKA Tricky Dickies 61 8 0.850
4 Great Aunt Sally 60 7 0.700
5 [DRAWING OF A DOG] 55 6 0.600
6 13935 The Hardy Boyz 53 5 0.500
7 15596 I Smart in Your General Direction 51 4 0.400
8 15602 Contemporary Eras 48 3 0.300
9 14577 Rainbow Kisses 41 2 0.200
10 15601 The Finer Things Club 40 1 0.100
11 Owls 24 0 0.000

After a sweltering weekend, what could be more refreshing than a sweet platter of Trivia? Beer and Cocktails? Well, fortunately the Federal has both! It was a mellow night in NoHo, but the good times still rolled with 7 rounds of fun in the back room.

8 Teams ventured forth to test themselves for the chance to win one of Two Gift Cards tonight.

Round 1 had quite a spread with one successful double-down from veterans "Trivial Pursuers, and a wide range of 1-6 from the rest of our contestants. In Round 2 things got more down to brass tacks with no adventurous doubles, but every team scoring high...ish.

Rounds 3 and 4 brought a little bit of hurt as waning confidence kept scores hovering with a below 50% average, but after an epic Rochambeau tournament, Round 5 pulled the bell curve a little higher.

Desperation and strategy began to mount as 2 teams succeeded in securing 20 points and upended the scoreboard. Math being against many in round 7 brought a few forlorn hopes and a conclusion to our questions.

"I Smart In Your General Direction" put up a valiant and indifferent fight all night, but the best team name wasn't quite enough to make it through 7 rounds against "Walking Talking Steven Hawking"; and no one could bring a finale like "Howard's End"

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 14597 Howards end 64 7 1.000
2 Walking Talking Steven Hawking 59 6 0.857
3 10051 Trivial Pursuers 55 5 0.714
4 Finer Things Club 39 4 0.571
5 10783 Rickety Crickets 34 3 0.429
6 Valley Village People 33 2 0.286
7 I Smart In Your General Direction! 29 1 0.143
8 15510 Awkward ladies 18 0 0.000
