Spirits were high at the The Federal as most teams scored high on the first round. The statues in round 2 led to discussions and disagreements, but it was round 3 that took the scores up a notch with all the Friends fans dominating.
For the drinking round Quizmaster Yael was in a generous mood offering teams to either submit a cute animal picture or do a stupid human trick to earn their win. After a few amusing tricks, it was the cute animals who took the game earning Calzone's a round for their surprisingly adorable squirrel pic.
Round 6 changed everything for Bell Biv Devoe who skyrocketed to the top, ultimately beating Gazpacho by 5 points.

It was an epic battle at The Federal with nine teams competing for the top prize. Gazpacho and New Year's Eve Nurses taking early leads after doubling the first three rounds. While first and place were solidified pretty early on it was Solo who impressed, moving his way up the scoreboard by himself and ultimately tying for fourth place.
Trivia on a Monday? - a team who usually plays Wednesdays at The Oaks Tavern - was a pleasant surprise and nearly won the drinking round which was to identify three 80s songs, the artists, and the year the song was released. With the most answers correct first, Nurses earned drinks this time around.
But next week could be anybody's turn!

New teams at The Federal tonight were The Achievers, 24-pack of the Mondays, and my favorite team name of the night: Boots N Cats N Boots N Cats. Although none of the new players placed, The Achievers won the drinking round with the oldest coin, a penny from 1959. But the real winners of the night were the adorable puppies.
New Year’s Eve nurses (using their other name: Agents of the Zeitgeist) took an early lead in Trivia and stayed in first place the entire night, doubling 4 out of 7 rounds and getting perfect scores on two of the remaining 3 rounds. They were followed by Gazpacho who stayed in second place through the end of the game.
