When Aeneas, son of Venus, asked his mom: "Mom, how do you say my name?" and she responded: "I always call you Sugar Booger," he was all: "No, for real. How do you pronounce my name? Because all the kids at school call me Anus." Venice laughed and the entire world heard it because she was the Goddess of Beauty or something like that. "Great, my mom's laughing at me," said Anus--I mean, Aeneas. Although, I guess, when you think about it, the entire world was laughing at them because they're gods and everyone can hear them. "And why do I have to go to school?" he went on. "I'm the son of gods!" Venus was about to respond but she had a roast in the oven. Look, the point is this: Any argument can be ironed out with simple trivia contests like the ones at The Glendale Tap on Wednesday nights. Let's talk!

When Dyonisis was crushing grapes with his mind one afternoon, it occurred to him: "Man, I gotta take this on the road!" And so he did! A cross-heaven tour of the universe in which he wowed the crowds with his ability to make wine all from just force of will. "Anything I can do to contribute to people's alcoholism!" he bellowed. "Force of will so you can swill!" he exclaimed. "If only there were a way to make this competitive for everyone," he WINED (get it?). And there was born the germ of the idea for weekly trivia contests, celebrated to this day at places such as the Glendale Tap on Wednesdays at 7:30. Let's talk!
Tonight's drinking round was a Simpsons off: Who Can Do The Best Simpsons Character? I don't remember who won, but they were great. "The Simpsons" is apparently a really popular show!
In third place tonight was Tom Cruise's Daddy Issues with 67 points, which was strange they didn't score more because youi'd think that Tom's daddy issues would be a lot more than just 67. In second place with 70 points was Damn Ass Little Daddies and taking the night with the most points (74) and the longest name was 55 Burgers 55 Fries 55 Tacos 55 Pies 55 Cokes 100 Tater Tots 100 Pizzas 100 Tenders 100 Meatballs 100 Coffees 55 Wings 55 Shakes 55 Pancakes 55 Pastas 55 Peppers And 155 Taters. When Leonides, God of Perfection, tried to mow his lawn in the aftermath of the Great War Of Thebes, he did so only because his gardener came down with dropsy. "How do these things work?" he muttered, staring at the celestial contraption for far too long. "You don't got no gas in it," answered his next-door neighbor Hobarius. "Well, where do I get that?" said Leonides. "Probably one of us gods can make you some," said Hobie (his friends called him Hobie). And so Leonides and Hobie spent the next three millenia searching for gas that didn't exist becaused there ain't no gas in the heavens. But you know where there is gas? At the Glendale Tap on Wednesday nights at around 7:30! Let's talk!
Tonight's Drinking Round was a Sean Off. Meaning: the winner was whoever could do the best Sean Connery. I don't remember who won, but I bet they did it with a great Scottish speech impediment!
Scores? You want excitement? Beers for Queers took third with 55 poiints. But guess what! There was a tie for first! The tie-breaking question was: In what year was the boardgame "Clue" first published. Hitting it right on the head with 1949 was Thumps and Dumps, and just missing it with 1952 was second placers Billie And Da Boys 2 Men!
