When Phillemena, Goddess Of Kumquats, got tasked with loading the Royal Trebuchet with stones, she asked: “Is there any way—and go with me on this—any way I can load this mother with some kumquats instead?” The entire army groaned. “Why you always bringing kumquats into everything, Phil?” “Um, I’m the Kumquat Queen! That’s my thing!” she answered. See, normally all catapults and trebuchets used the biggest boulders around for their ammo, but Zeus had been on a bender all month: nothing but scotch on the rocks, one after the other. And by “rock,” we mean huge boulders. That’s right: Zeus was throwing ‘em back to the tune of three boulders a glass. There were almost no boulders left in the kingdom. So when the annual Trebuchet Convention came around, Phil had no rocks to put in those giant wooden slingshots, so she asked nicely about loading them with kumquats, got a collective No from the army, but did it anyway. Through the cold night sky, thousands of naturally grown kumquats soared through the air, blocking out not only the local moon but all other moons in the vicinity. Point is: No such kumquats were on hand for King Trivia Night at the Glendale Tap this Wednesday! Let’s talk!
The Drinking Round this week was “Do A Scene From Pulp Fiction.” Lloyd Austin Feels Better did better than anyone else by reenacting the scene where Uma Thurman gets an adrenaline shot punched through her breast plate. The commitment to laying on a bar floor was enough for the win!
In third place was Points For Gryffindor with 35 points. In second tonight was El Pollo Loco with 36 points. And taking the night with 44 points was Heathers! Do come back next week Wednesday at 7:30 for more King Trivia fun at the Glendale Tap!

When Dormaneus, God Of Beds, needed more fluff in his pillow (that’s not a euphemism; he literally needed more fluff in his pillow), his first thought was to sheer a few of Hermes’s lambs. Hermes, away on some mission (typical), often didn’t tend to his flock in the most caring way, so Dorm (his friends called him that) snuck into Hermes’ sheep pen, took a giant pair of scissors, and make quick work of a ram, a ewe and more than a few goats. In seconds, he had enough fluffy stuff for a few pillows. While leaving, the sheep took him to task: “Now we’re naked!” “We’re all a little naked now and then!” replied Dormaneus as he once again flew from the pen and back into his bed. Post is: There were no sheep at Wednesday’s Glendale Tap King Trivia Night! Only leaders. Let’s talk:
The Drinking Round was a spirited Beatle-Off. One person from each team had to come up and do an impression of their favorite Beatle. From Pizzadena,” a guy got up, started talking about peace and love, and then his buddy shot him. THAT’S how you win a drinking round!

When Delapitous, God Of Playing Cards, dealt the game known as Go Nova, he assumed all players at the table were at least familiar with it. First invented several trillions of years ago, Go Nova is a game in which all players are dealt an entire standard deck of 52 playing cards. From those cards, each player must construct a practical Celestron Refractor telescope with which to view the farthest stars. Players may use ANY or none of their cards to do this. “We’re gods!” the players exclaimed, “what’s to stop us from just cheating and making a telescope appear out of thin air?” said one of Del’s god-friends. Another said: “We’re gods, can’t we just GO to any star we want? Like, right now?” It soon became apparent that when you can do whatever you want, it’s not so much fun being a god. Point is: There may not have been any gods at the Glendale Tap on King Trivia’s Wednesday Night Trivia Night, but there was also no cheating! Let’s talk:
