Glendale Tap Room is an amazingly hip, cool neighborhood bar with great music , excellent trivia teams with n Wednesday , delicious pizza with hand tossed crust and an extraordinary selection of craft and domestic beer. When Clytemnestra's daughter appeared before the Trojan Tribunal and declared: "Eat this!" to the Elders, she was talking about her logic. As punishment, she was banished to the farthest reaches of Crete which sounds like a nice vacation by today's standards, but lemme tell you: Back then a banishment to Crete was like being told you had to drive to Stockton during forest fire season. No one wants to do it! Anyway: The vibe at Glendale Tap on King Trivia night was nothing like that on Wednesday night. Let's talk.

Everyone can do a a Michael Cain impression, and last Wednesday everyone did! The drinking round was: "Who Can Do The Best Michael Cain?" and the winner was Eaters Don't Eat Eaters. Their guy just got up there, recited some "Goldmember" and snagged the win. Yeah, maybe the writing did most of the heavy lifting, but laughs are laughs.

There's nothing like a third place tie breaker to spice up the night and that's just what happened for Beers For Queers and Eaters Don't Eat Eaters. If a Wednesday night crowd in Glendale doesn't know anything about Chaucer, who does? Eaters Don't Eat Eaters took third place with 63 points. In second was Just Here For The Zip Line with 69 points and destroying the room with 94 points was Fertile Cresecent Rolls.

Polamathys said: "Competition is a dish best served au gratin." There were no graters to cut up the bread and cheese properly at the time he lived, but ancient Roman society got the gist of what he meant and made sure to have weekly trivia contests right there in the damn Colosseum. 1st Place was not getting executed. Pretty harsh, but at least it wasn't boring. No such harshness at Glendale Tap last Wednesday. Let's talk.

If "Who likes Beyoncé?" is ever a trivia question, the answer is: "Everyone." The Drinking Round was a Beyoncé-off. Who can do the best Beyoncé? Answer: The best singer. I couldn't not give it to her (from Fertile Crescent Rolls). I would've been thrown from the bar. I almost gave it to someone who said: "My impression of Beyoncé is that she is a very talented and successful woman." Clever usually wins, but not on nights where I don't wanna get beat up. 

In third place was Check For Fruits with 71 points. In second, Glendale Tap That Ass with 74 points. And taking the night was Fertile Crescent Rolls with 76 points. Of course, the most important question of the night was: "Did we all have a good time?" Most people seemed to think so! Come back next week for more King Trivia fun at Glendale Tap!
