Tonight was a very close game as only a few points separated 1st to 4th place for most of the night. Tragically for Tim's team, during the final round of naming states with no repeating letters, they did not catch that Washington contains two N's. To make them feel better, let's just say one of the N's is silent. Stupid tricky spelling!
Our bonus game for the beer was a good ol game of blackjack! It was short and sweet, however, taking just one hand to complete as only Eternal Moonshine was able to beat the dealer.

I think this might be my new favorite venue--the teams here were so engaged in the game! Kelly behind the bar deserves a shout-out for keeping the party going with specials and excellent service. Oh!--and Mondays is free hotdog night!--how can you beat that?! The whole place is like a big family on game night! I was honored to be the Quizmaster for the evening. The players kept the game interesting and exciting to play and host. Team's scores were up and down as they duked it out throughout the night. In the end, a couple teams fell victim to badly timed Double or Nothing plays that resulted in zero points for a given round, while the Tim-flatable Sex Dolls held steady to emerge victorious in the very engaging match-up. Congratulations, team!

After a rare off podium finish, our favorite movie title turned dirty team name was back in the winner's circle. Our second place team, Play More P.O.D. not only has fabulous taste in music, but was the only team to get the mystery round correct on the first clue due to their oddly specific knowledge of the movie Twister.
Our bonus round involved a game of Balderdash where players had to decide if a given word is made up or real. Only one team won the beer, but we learned some new vocabulary. Unless you already knew that scrivello is obviously a word (an elephant's tusk weighing less than 20 pounds) and that meadophily is clearly made up.
