Another lively crowd tonight as we covered topics ranging from road signs to Texas sports teams. I can't say I've ever seen a challenge so specific, but it was no problem for a team hailing from the Lone Star State. They not only named every MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, WNBA, and MLS team in Texas, but hats off to them for going above and beyond by even knowing the women's pro soccer team The Houston Dash. Despite their efforts, there was no stopping team Chuy and Chewey. After a few weeks of trying, they finally got first for the first time!
As per usual, knowing useless knowledge wasn't the only way to win a prize as we awarded free beer through a quarter spinning competition. Tonight The Biscuit Heads had the most precision and kept their quarter spinning longer than any other team at 8.8 seconds!

You know things are getting real at trivia night when the bar starts laminating their prizes! Tonight the coveted $30 in 90 West Lounge bucks went to team Pull From the Front. It may sound like a dirty reference, but rest assured their team name was based on a safety maneuver with the free hot dogs provided by the bar.
The bonus round involved naming Simpsons characters as we passed around the mic until only one team was able to name a character that wasn't yet mentioned. It was only appropriate that the name winning the beer was Duff Man, ooh yeah!

The complimentary hot dogs usually bring in a few folks to 90 West Lounge, but tonight the dogs brought in an actual dog! Like most, this pupper came for the food, but stayed for the trivia.
Tonight's close competition needed a tiebreaker to settle it, but I don't think either team could have imagined they would one day need to know how many films are produced in Nigeria to win a prize.
Congrats to Tim (who according to his team not only did not suck this week, but in fact has NEVER sucked) for the big win. At certain times throughout the night Tim also rocked and at one point was even ON FIRE! I'm dying to see what other adjectives his team comes up for him next week.
