For our bonus round, I challenged to our teams to come up with the best way to celebrate France winning the World Cup. While MANY suggested surrendering was the only appropriate way to celebrate, our winner correctly suggested a menois a troi. An extra shout out to Chlamydial Pursuit who came out of the gates with a big fat zero in the first round, but battled their way back to finish round 7 in a tie. Their expertise in the population of Latvia put them over the top in the tiebreaker to seal the deal for first!

What a gift to this humble substitute Quizmaster to be welcomed so warmly to a tight-knit spot like 90 West. With Ryan out for the week, I got a little taste of this group's unique flavor. And it smacked of the tang of a close-scoring race for the top!
In the end, it was Eternal Circle of the Drunken Jerks, the ultimate dream team conglomerate, who snagged first with 73 points! With two successful doubles and three other full-points rounds, they handily proved that a trivia union is more powerful than a trivial separation. Next was A Case of the Mondays with 63 points! They narrowly pulled ahead of third-place team LeBron's Bald Spot, who scored 61 points, in the final two rounds. All in all, a great game!
Also, I wish everyone the good fortune of sitting in an LA bar on a Monday night as the Dodgers rack up 17 runs vs. the other team's 1 run. That'll make you feel like you can win ANY trivia game. What a night.
