It was 90 West's last trivia night of the DECADE, but our teams still partied like it was 1999. Who can blame them, the 90's were awesome and so was tonight's quiz! Eternal Moonshine employed the secret winning strategy I've seen work again and again over the years... bringing your parents. The proven method help earn them back to back victories after their win last week.
The drinking round gave our teams a chance at some optimism after 2019 proved a difficult year for many. It gave me an opportunity for a creative challenge with the prompt, "What could happen in the remaining 1.25 days left in 2019 that would make this year all worth it?" While "Finally losing my virginity" would have been epic, the winning team was hoping "My dad finally comes back home after leaving for that pack of smokes."

Twas the Trivia before Christmas and fittingly enough the team with that name dominated our holiday heavy quiz. They ALMOST took home the drinking round prize as well, which I had previously planned a contest to recite the classic poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'. Unfortunately for them, team Kibbles and Butts usually goes by the name Festive and Suggestive. Completely living up to their name, they didn't slip on a single word winning themselves some free beer.

The stars aligned as team Dick City, Population: Wieners (who typically update their name based on whatever movie is in theaters) finally came up with a name that includes the word wiener! This very specific mojo paid off and made them the "wiener" of our tonight's quiz.
Although they didn't earn a spot on the podium, Team 90 West proved once again they can't be beaten in a physical challenge, acing the drinking round. Many have played a game of corn hole at a bar, but playing the "travel-sized" edition the quizmaster supplied is a whole different experience. Team 90 West once again showed they could pivot and win any game involving hand-eye coordination. They promptly used that coordination for raising their glasses to their lips without spilling a drop of their prize!
