Smash Lampjaw was back again, taking home a back to back victory this week. Teams Case of the Mondays and H-Bomb figured the only way to beat these super smart jerks of a team was by creating a super team! They joined forces and created Monday Night Case of the H-Bomb, which unfortunately was only good enough to earn a 3rd place victory. Hoping they add a third team next week for the smartest menage a trois you've ever seen.
The bonus round involved a little word/letter play as we took the letters from "Happy Halloween" and rearranged them in the most creative way we could. A lot (and I mean a LOT) of teams discovered the word anal was hidden within the holiday greeting, but only one team discovered you could flip a P upside down to get the D you need for DEEP anal. The winning entry was almost "Pee Now Hapy Hal", an answer implying Hal needs permission to pee and once receiving said permission becomes quite happy. So happy that he received the nickname of Hapy Hal (one P, per the rules of our game), but Eternal Moonshine edged them out by thinking outside the box. Their answer of "Holy Deep Anal" included a ripped answer sheet to drive their point home that it will tear you up. Gross yes, but they won themselves some beer.
Oh yes, a 15 year old Aaron Rodgers was here tonight as well. Long story, not enough time to get into it here.

Similar to the Boston Red Socks showing up to Los Angeles and dominating the world series, occasional trivia team Smash Lockjaw returned to 90 West much to the chagrin of our regulars. They took home 1st as team H-Bomb' chances of resurrecting their dynasty dwindled even further.
For the bonus round, in honor of LA being in the World Series, I asked our teams "What is the one LA specific rule we could change about baseball to help give the Dodgers an edge?"
The runner up was "Make the 7th inning stretch, the 7th inning YOGA stretch, but the winning response was "Make Dodger Dogs vegan and gluten free!" Go Doyers!

Team H-Bomb's reign finally came to an end tonight, but BARELY. It would have been a three-peat if not for their lack of knowledge of the Chilean war for independence that hurt them in the tiebreaker. They vowed to study up on their international history next week to start another quest for three wins in a row!
Our bonus round tonight was a real timesaver for the quizmaster. Instead of needing to make an extra stop to get a birthday card for his sister, we crowdsourced making custom birthday cards for her. I gave a few interests and hobbies and let the teams do the rest. Great job team JS for drawing both a dinosaur and my sister flipping me the bird while I host trivia. Your work of art earned a pitcher of beer!
