It was an international affair tonight with our European country picture round. Not only were teams required to identify countries based on the shape alone, the quizmaster later asked teams to do their best impersonation of a person from each country. Bonus points for the players who quoted Cool Runnings for their German impression!
In honor of the Stanley Cup final, some free beer was given away in a hockey themed bonus round. Players took turns naming current NHL teams until only one person could name a team that hasn't yet been said. Apparently, no one in the bar was from Boston since the Bruins were the only team not mentioned.

It was a close competition on this eventful Memorial Day. There were a couple of huge nailbiting playoff games in the NBA, the NHL, as well as the biggest game in town: trivia! Eternal Moonshine was able to wrap up 1st with room to spare, but only three points separated 2nd to 4th place.
We also had a mathemagical bonus challenge of naming as many prime numbers as possible. Only nine were identified before our brains were all mathed out and the only way to soothe the winners was with a round of beer on the house!

We sure had some challenging questions tonight, especially the connection round in which only one team was able to put the pieces together. Who would have thought corners, cheese, and a rug could all have the commonality of being things that you cut? I love a good wordplay connection round almost as much as I enjoy catching a whole team deep in thought trying to figure it out.
Even though it was Monday, we pretended it was Saturday during our SNL themed bonus round for the free beer. Teams took turns naming a present or former cast member until only one team was able to think of one that hadn't been said already.
