Oh my goodness! King Trivia was wilder than ever last night at the Canterbury Ale House!! Not only did we roll out our amazing, brand-spankin' new King Trivia app, but 9 teams (comprised of a whopping 41 collective players!) battled it out in a death-defying pursuit of all things trivial!!
And as if that wasn't enough excitement for the night, our defending champions, The Knights of the Brown Table, called in the cavalry to not only defend their crown but to celebrate their birthday with us!! 🎉
Joining in on the night's shenanigans were returning teams: 2 and 1/2 Boys, The Red Raccoons, and We Thought This Was Family Feud. The whole bar was buzzing with excitement and anticipation for the game to begin...but it wouldn't be a true challenge without a little upset or a dash of plot twist now would it?!
Rising to their duty as the metaphoric "shit-stirrers" (and obviously not wanting to miss the train to the best party in town), our game welcomed in 5 additional first-time teams: Death Cab for Yoshi - I’ll follow you into the BWOMP, Axl “the resistance”, Dacfest 2.0, BeanTeam, and the Go Getem’s!!
Immediately, our first-time players lived up to the hype and maintained an aggressive lead over the three veteran teams. However, the "shit stirrers" got stirred in Round 4 when returning team, 2 and 1/2 Boys racked in 10 points when they correctly "Guessed Where" upon being given the first, and highest ranking clue of the round!
But in the end, only two teams would go home victorious...by the skin of their teeth and by single point differentials, our returning teams 2 and 1/2 Boys and The Knights of the Brown Table refused to relinquish their reigns as King Trivia champions, with The Boys claiming 1st place with 37 points and The Knights claiming 2nd place with 36 points. Nonetheless, our newcomers the Go Getem’s and Death Cab for Yoshi - I’ll follow you into the BWOMP proved worthy adversarys being tied for 3rd place with 34 points!!

Shits and giggles were had at the Canterbury Ale House for King Trivia night! Welcoming back former trivia champs, The Knights of The Brown Table and The Has Been Musicians, we welcomed in three new teams: Bob Lob Law, The Honey Dips, and Vaxxxed and Waxxxed!! Tensions were high, reputations were at stake! Who would take the crown?!
Jumping right in, all five teams appeared equally matched in their trivial prowess. By Round 4, The Knights of The Brown Table and Bob Lob Law Bob Lob Law were tied for first place with a respective score of 14 with The Has Been Musicians, Vaxxxed and Waxxxed, and The Honey Dips as tied for second place with a respective score of 13.
However, entering into the fifth round, The Knights of The Brown Table and The Has Been Musicians showed everyone why they are forces to be reckoned with when they gained 3-point leads over the contending teams. Perhaps preemptively confident about their assured path to the crown, the Has Beens and Knights let their guard down, with new players The Honey Dips snaking first place via a 1-point lead moving into Round 6. Coming out of the sixth round, the teams were scored as followed:
It was anyones' game, with tempers and insecurities stewing. Who would be the night's reigning champs?! Well folks, in an epic battle of trivial pursuits and by mere 1-point margins, The Knights of The Brown Table slayed!! Once again claiming first prize bragging rights with a grand total of 38!! In second place, The Has Been Musicians with 37. And our newcomers The Honey Dips in third with 37!! Of course, a huge shoutout to Bob Lob Law and Vaxxxed and Waxxxed for joining in the fun, and I do hope to see you again next week!

Trivia night welcomed back returning teams: The Mariners, The Red Raccoons, and The Knights Of The Brown Table with a warm welcome to first-time players, The Schmitty Gang!!! With Joey behind the bar and Laticia in the kitchen, all players were fed, quenched, and merry.
By Round 3, the game really turned up with The Knights Of The Brown Table and The Red Raccoons tied for first place with respective scores of 12 and The Schmitty Gang and The Mariners tied for second place with the respective score of 11!
However, in Round 4, our newcomers The Schmitty Gang broke out of the pack with their 6-point lead over the three opposing teams. However, their path to victory was catapulted off trajectory when the dark horse of the night, The Knights Of The Brown Table, overtook everyone with their 10-point lead in Round 6!!
**In Round 4, The Mariners parted ways with their trivial pursuits and scooted their boots over to the T-Mobile stadium having forgotten their all-important match against the Baltimore Orioles. I don't know fellas, as much as I love ya, maybe if ya picked up a few practices games instead of bullshitting at trivia night, The Orioles wouldn't have slaughtered us in a 6-0 victory!**
Down a team and leading into our final round for the night, the remaining contenders were scored as followed:
But in the end, there could only be one trivia night champion. And with a mighty comeback from last week, and jumping from their prior week s' 2nd place finish, The Knights The Brown Table reigned triumphant as our 1st place champions with an ending score of 37!! In 2nd place, our first-time players, The Schmitty Gang, with an ending score of 30 points!! And in 3rd place, The Red Raccoons, with a finishing score of 23!!
