QUIZ RECAP

Not to brag or anything, but everyone who's anyone was at The Canterbury Ale House last night. Why you ask?! Trivia, that's why!! Wings were hot, beer was cold, it was STANDING ROOM ONLY (as allowed by COVID-considerate social distancing limitations) and all were vying for the title of King Trivia Champions!! 

The contenders for the night were:

• The Battling Of Bullstad Boiz,
• The Stone-Cold Steve Austin Powers,
• The International Team,
• The Hasbeen Musicians,
• The Grad School Rejects,
• The Red Racoons,
• Vaxxed Not Waxxed!,
• The Girl Who Hasn't Started Her Period Yet, and
• The Knights Of The Brown Table!!! 

Ms. Westleebee emcee'd with the help of her wonder pup, Maximus Barkus, providing comedic relief for when the tensions of trivial pursuits, team rivalries, and egos alike got a little too heated and needed to be eased and assuaged. 

Immediately, The Knights of the Brown Table established themselves as front-runners by going Double or Nothing and gaining a 10-point lead over the contending 9 teams. However, their assured path to victory was short-lived when The Girl Who Hasn't Started Her Period Yet broke out of the pack in Round 3, going Double or Nothing and becoming tied for 1st place running with The Knights Of The Brown Table. 

However, both the pre-pubescent girl and the table serfs got shook when our reigning champs from last week, The Hasbeen Musicians, overtook them BOTH in Round 5 when they went Double or Nothing!!

Leading into our final round for the night, the teams were scored as followed: 

• The Battling Of Bullstad Boiz 16,
• The Stone-Cold Steve Austin Powers 24,
• The International Team 23,
• The Hasbeen Musicians 45,
• The Grad School Rejects 18,
• The Red Racoons 24,
• Vaxxed Not Waxxed! 27,
• The Girl Who Hasn't Started Her Period Yet 46, and
• The Knights Of The Brown Table 41.

The excitement could not be contained, teams had become aggressively competitive, and dance fights ala Jets Vs. Sharks were liable to break out at any moment!!

But in the end, there could only be three winning teams...hearts would be broken, dreams would be shattered, souls would be crushed...

The Hasbeen Musicians and The Knights Of The Brown Table were tied for 2nd place respectively with 49 points. Being tied, the two teams entered an instant-death tie-breaker. Stealing 2nd place by a single point and finishing score of 50, The Knights Of The Brown Table!! In third place, The Hasbeen Musicians with 49 points.

Which begged the question, whom amongst the nine valiant trivial pursuers would go home as Trivial Champions?! Well, folks, she may not have started her period yet, but she definitely came, she saw, and she conquered!!!! The Girl Who Hasn't Started Her Period Yet swept the night and placed first with a finishing score of 54!!

QUIZ RECAP

Things got trivial at the Cantebury Ale House with Joey slinging drinks and Laticia serving up dynamo buffalo wings.

Boozed, winged, and merry, the four contending teams: Clammy Hands, Hasbeen Musicians, Life is Blurry, and The Thunder battled it out, all in the hope of claiming the first place prize and ultimate bragging rights in their respective trivial pursuits.

Teams Clammy Hands, Hasbeen Musicians, and Life is Blurry were neck to neck, with the black horse of the night, The Thunder trailing self-proclaimed, "painfully behind". However, in Round 4, The Thunder made it rain when they went Double or Nothing and knocked Life is Blurry out of third place with a 20-point advantage!

But that's not even half the excitement! Entering our final round, Hasbeen Musicians and Clammy Hands were tied, with The Thunder and Life is Blurry mere points behind (it was anyones' game!)

But in the end, the Hasbeen Musicians took home the bacon with a whopping 39 points, snaking 1st place from the Clammy Hands by ONE point. In third place, The Thunder racked up a total of 33 points, and Life is Blurry placed 4th with a final score of 28.

QUIZ RECAP

Another great night at the Canterbury Ale House with their all-star team David, Joey, and Laticia serving up $.50 wings and drink specials (um, yes please!) 

Trivia night was heated with our four raucous teams: Get Shrek'ed, Vaxxed not Waxed!, The Bobby Johnny's, and Kyle & Scott.

By round six the competition really turned up as all four teams went "Double or Nothing" and each respectively earned themselves 20 points!! Teams Get Shrek'ed and Kyle & Scott were tied for 2nd with 43 points, The Bobby Johnny's in 3rd with 36, and Vaxxed not Waxed! taking the lead with 50.

In the end, The Bobby Johnny's placed 4th with a grand total of 38. Thank you gentlemen for playing, you had great attitudes and I thoroughly appreciate how, although Trivia was not originally in your nights' plan, you jumped right in and were a pleasure to have! Hope to see you back next week! 💕

In third place, Kyle & Scott racked up a total of 45. Much like the "can-do" attitudes of The Bobby Johnnys', team Kyle & Scott threw caution to the wind and agreed to join our night of trivial shenanigans, and boy were the shenanigans abundant! However, Kyle & Scott kept it cool and collected amidst the turbulent and everchanging iterations their team endured:

• Round 1 "Kyle & Scott",
• Round 3 "Just Kyle At This Point",
• Round 4 "Kyle, Danny, and this other dude",
• Round  5 "Kyle AND !!!!!! DANNY NOW!",
• Round 6 "KYLE AND CHEF DANNY",
• Round 7 "Kyle and Danny ONLY"

Team Get Shrek'ed earned themselves second place with a finishing score of 47. Not only did this team boast impressive trivial knowledge, but proudly showcased their artistic side with a beautiful Shrek-inspired team poster. ✨

And finally, our ladies of 3, VAXXED NOT WAXED! showed the competition that they most definitely were not waxed, as they cleaned house with a winning score of 53! !🏆
