It was a festive evening at Canterbury Ale House!
Holiday lights were up and I, Quizmaster TC, felt right at home wearing my Christmas suit. 'Tis the season!
It was my first time at this venue. What a great place for good drinks and food! And joining me this time was my son, who assisted me with the scoring.

Tokyo Banana had already situated themselves at their table, ready for their night of trivia. As Nope AF, The Nuggetz, and Dream Stompers sat at their respective booths, I presented them the wonderful opportunity to play and they were game. This particular evening, a big group of lively people held their Beecher company's holiday party here and joined in on the fun. They formed the following teams: Picadilly, Cheese Curds, Dinny-Skippers, and The Coagulants. I was amazed how they were able to socialize, exchange gifts, and play trivia all at the same time. They definitely added some good holiday energy and liveliness.

Every team put their heads together and scored some points each round. The Guess Who Round #4 proved to be quite challenging tonight for all. Round #5 was fun for the teams who found The Office connection. It was a great round for Cheese Curds who doubled or nothing and got all 20 points, putting them in 2nd place so far. Tokyo Banana took the lead in Round #1 and kept it through all 7 rounds. Picadilly and The Nuggetz were tied for 3rd up until the last round. Oh, that last Round #7. List the Mortal Kombat II players. Half of the teams knew some. The other half had no idea and made some funny guesses, some of which made me laugh, thank you. 🙂

At the end, we had Tokyo Banana in 1st place. And a tie for 2nd place between Cheese Curds and The Nuggetz. The tie breaker question for 2nd place was given and won by Cheese Curds. 3rd place goes to The Nuggetz. Congratulations! Good game.

Thank you to all the individuals who played and shared in this enjoyable Tuesday evening together. Shoutout to Teal for serving and Darius for cooking. Thank you, Canterbury Ale House and Erwin for hosting us and having King Trivia here all these weeks. Cheers!

The sound system may not have cooperated but that did not stop anyone from enjoying an incredible night of trivia at Canterbury Ale House on Tuesday night. Quiz Master Jim took the lack of amplification in stride and provided personal attention with intimate, table-side clue readings throughout the evening. It was all smiles when all three teams walked away winners (as you can see by their smiling faces).

Team Atlas made their King Trivia debut tonight and managed to get ahead of perennial winner Team Tokyo Banana during several of the rounds. They were willing to put it all on the line, too -- with two winning Double or Nothing rounds. An early (wrong) stab by Atlas and a negative one point during the Guess Who? round made all the difference tonight. In the end, Tokyo Banana held on to their customary first place finish. Team Atlas came in second and Team TMW came in a very respectable third.

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 21103 Tokyo Banana 62 2 1.000
2 24239 Team Atlas 57 1 0.500

None of tonight's teams knew which founding father of the USA was a turkey fan, but they all knew their cold turkey and their Wild. Priorities, right?

Teams used the Double of Nothing to their advantage (Tokyo Banana and Rita Oval) and disadvantage (Team Oneders) through the evening, Rita Oval also missed a doubling opportunity with a perfect "Never Forget Where You Came From Round". That failure of fortitude did not matter to the final results because by that time, Rita Oval was firmly in second and Tokyo Banana continued their winning streak by coming in first again.

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 21103 Tokyo Banana 51 5 1.000
2 Rita Oval 30 4 0.800
3 Death Comes For All 23 3 0.600
4 Oneders 18 2 0.400
5 24120 Phat snacks 14 1 0.200
